Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life-sim game that lets players live in a town filled with iconic Disney characters like Goofy and Mickey Mouse. By growing crops, completing quests, getting rid of thorns, and much more, players will increase their relationship levels with the various NPCs and make Dreamlight Valley a better place to live.

Most would assume that a Disney game targeted toward children would start players with a lovely clean home, but that's not the case in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In fact, Disney fans will begin their adventure with not only a tiny home but a home with a gross, dirty floor that most Animal Crossing fans would be ashamed of. To help the folks who enjoy a clean house, here's how to change the flooring in your Disney Dreamlight Valley home.

How to Change Floors in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Just to put it right out there, there's actually no way to clean the floors in players' homes in Disney Dreamlight Valley; however, players can change the flooring style in their home, removing the Broken and Dirty Tile Flooring that's set in place at the start of the game.

To change floors in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players need to enter their home and open up their backpack with the Y button (Xbox), which is the Triangle button on PlayStation, and the X button on the Nintendo Switch.

After that, go down to the Furniture section. This will show players a wide range of furniture categories offered in Disney Dreamlight Valley. From here, go ahead and scroll down to the Floors category and choose the one that best fits the home's style. Make sure to save the game's progress in the menu after selecting the floor players are happy with.

Players can undo any furniture selection by pressing on the left bumper.

Later, players will be able to purchase new types of floors, but for now, there should still be a few options for players to start with, like the Large Gray Stone Tilework or the Wooden Floor. Whichever floor style players choose, it'll be better looking than the Broken and Dirty Tile Flooring.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available in Early Access right now. To get into Early Access, gamers must pay for the Founder's Pack or have access to Xbox Game Pass.
