DisneyDreamlightValley has announced that players will finally be able to change the exterior of their homes in the next update. The popular life simulation game giving AnimalCrossing: NewHorizons a run for its money remains popular with its fanbase. DisneyDreamlghtValley Launched in September on multiple platforms and has received two major content updates since then.

The last major update to the game brought Buzz, Woody, and Stitch and a new festive-themed Star Path for gamers to show off their holiday spirit in-game. One player took the holiday spirit to a new level by turning their Disney Dreamlight Valley character into TheGrinch while fans await more content. The updates have not been easy, however, with one bug in the last update making crafting temporarily unavailable and some storylines soft-locked. This newest announcement from the official DisneyDreamlightValley Twitter account shows that the team is starting to add features players have wanted since the game was first made available.

Various exterior house skins are coming to DisneyDreamlightValley in the next update, as announced by the game's official Twitter. This option was an incentive being offered as part of the community wishlist challenge before the game's early access launch. From the quick video in the tweet, gamers can choose five different color options instead of being stuck with plain yellow. While the game may seem lacking in some customization options, that hasn't stopped players from thinking outside the box. One talented Disney Dreamlight Valley fan designed their own tea cup ride for their valley based on the one made famous at the Disneyland and Disney World theme parks.

The reception to the news was mixed from fans, with some making nods to the famous dress scene in SleepingBeauty, deciding on whether they would make their home blue or pink. Other gamers were underwhelmed with the news hoping for more than a simple re-skin of the original house design and hoping for something more. Perhaps even an answer or a clue from the team as to just what the Golden Potato item is meant for in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The major thing players seem to really want is more bug fixes.

Although the game remains in early access, gamers have been keeping themselves busy online by discussing which realms they want to see added to Disney Dreamlight Valley the most in future updates. Players can only explore realms from Frozen II,Wall-E, Moana, Ratatouille, and ToyStory4 for the time being. While no official date for the next update has been announced yet, this latest news should get fans excited for more additions in the new year.
