When you enter the Mulan Realm, you'll probably spot Mulan's orange treasure chest upon completing the first quest in the Realm called A New Recruit. Fortunately, you don't have to go too far to find Mulan's key, as the precise location isn't too tricky to spot once you know which area to search.

Where To Find Mulan's Key In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Mulan's key is a collectible quest item that unlocks Mulan's personal storage chest in the Mulan Realm. You can find Mulan's chest outside Mulan's tent near the cooking stove and close to the second realm exit point.

However, you won't be able to find the key to unlock Mulan's chest until you reach close to the end of Disney Dreamlight Valley's Clearing the Road quest. This involves clearing up the aftermath of a landslide and ends with players receiving a gift from Mulan as a reward, which is where Mulan's key comes in.

You can find Mulan's key north of the second camp entrance. This is the entrance that takes you past the rockslide area, rather than the entrance where you first entered the camp.

What Does Mulan's Key Unlock In Disney Dreamlight Valley?

When you open the chest using Mulan's key, inside you can grab a reward called Mulan's Surprise. Open it to find the Defender's Sword, which is a decorative furniture item that you can place indoors as a wall decoration.

Upon completing Clearing the Road, you can then welcome Mulan and Mushu to the Valley once you've built a house for them and begin their Friendship questlines.
