Woody’s final Friendship quest, “The Illumination,” is unlocked upon reaching Friendship Level 10 with the toy sheriff. Woody has had a pretty rough time since arriving in the Valley, facing troubles involving his Carousel home and his Alien Toy friends. Throughout his Friendship quests, the player recovers the missing Aliens and helps him renovate his Carousel home after a few small catastrophes. In “The Illumination,” Woody and the player face a final task to finish the Carousel's renovations: activating the lights.

Woody noticed that when he interacted with a Toy Chest inside his Carousel, the lights flickered oddly. He suspects this Toy Chest holds the key to lighting up his home and requests the player's help to investigate it further.

These diaries are a series of unlockable memories the player discovers throughout their Valley adventures. The diary entry in question highlights the Toy Chest, unveiling that its previous contents, consisting of childhood memorabilia from the villagers, were the source of power for the Carousel lights.

Ask Villagers for Childhood Items

Upon consideration, Woody and the player determine that they should retrieve childhood toys belonging to each of three specific villagers in Dreamlight Valley: Moana, Ariel, and the mountain man Kristoff. Head to each villager, and they will hand over a beloved trinket from their youth. The player receives a Conch from Moana, a Music Box from Ariel, and a Tiny Troll Figure from Kristoff. Once all three items have been collected, the player needs to return to Woody.

Create a Blanket Fort

Woody is thrilled at the villager’s willingness to help and has decided that he and the player should add an item of their own to the chest, too. He wants to recreate the perfect childhood memory and asks the player to craft a Blanket Fort, then invite Buzz over for a sleepover. To craft the Blanket Fort, the player needs to collect the following materials:

  • 40 Softwood
  • 5 Cotton
  • 4 Fabric
  • 4 Rope
  • 5 Glass

After the player gathers the required items, they have to head to a crafting station to create the Blanket Fort. Placing this Blanket Fort in the Valley triggers the slumber party. The next step involves taking a photo of Woody and Buzz at the event and then talking to Woody at his Carousel. He asks the player to pick a phrase to complete the enchantment and fix the Carousel. Choosing any of the options will suffice, as it does not affect the final outcome.

Once this is done, the Carousel is restored to its full glory. Woody rewards the player with the Blanket Fort they made and Woody’s Pull String, a back accessory, marking the end of "The Illumination" quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
