A Rift in Time expansion has brought a lot of new content to Disney Dreamlight Valley, including a new world, charming characters, and of course, dozens of delicious recipes. The expansion features over 120 recipes ranging from yummy desserts and appetizers to scrumptious entree meals. However, some of these meals cannot be prepared immediately as their ingredients are not available in the early stages of the game. One such recipe is Jerk Chicken.

Jerk Chicken Recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Players will need to combine these ingredients to make Jerk Chicken:
- 1 x Poultry
- 1 x Onion
- 1 x Garlic
- 1 x Any Spice.
Collecting the Required Ingredients
For a delicious and energetic meal like Jerk Chicken, players will have to do a lot of legwork and even complete some quests. As mentioned above, you won’t be able to cook Jerk Chicken right away because its main ingredient, poultry, requires some time and effort to obtain. First, you need to befriend Gaston, and that can’t happen without unlocking Glittering Dunes and unlocking him. Then, you’ll need to reach friendship level two with him and complete his second quest, Center of Attention. Only after successfully finishing this quest will players gain access to Gaston's Meat Stall. Now spend 500 Star Coins and purchase poultry from him.
Onions are available only after players spend a fortune to first unlock the Forest of Valor biome and then Goofy's Stall in the area. But that’s not it; you may also have to upgrade his stall to get it. Once it’s available, purchase a pouch of onion seeds at the cost of 50 Star Coins and grow the seeds anywhere in the valley.
Garlic does not need to be planted and harvested. While you’re in the Forest of Valor, look for the wild leafy herbs on the ground. It would be a great idea to collect extra garlic and store it in the inventory for future use. Just like garlic, forage any spice from the ground. You have the freedom to choose any spice, whether it's Mint from Frosted Heights or Basil from Peaceful Meadow.
After collecting these ingredients, you should go to a cooking station and make Jerk Chicken. This entree meal can be sold for 1,100 Star Coins or eaten to restore 1,229 energy.
