Mist is the primary currency in Disney Dreamlight Valley that players will need to enjoy their journey to the fullest. Unlike Star Coins that are used to purchase crops and furniture, Mist is used to unlock new biomes in A Rift in Time. It’s similar to the Dreamlight currency in the base game, and players will need a lot of it if they want to progress beyond Ancient’s Landing and explore the magical biomes added in A Rift in Time.

Among the new characters introduced in A Rift in Time, players will only find EVE on Eternity Isle. Gaston and Rapunzel can be found in Glittering Dunes and Wild Tangle, respectively. This guide will share some effective tips on how to earn Mist and quickly unlock these biomes in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Best Tips to Get Mist

There are several different methods for getting Mist quickly in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Complete Mist Duties

The easiest way to get Mist in Disney Dreamlight Valley is by completing Mist Duties. These are straightforward tasks that, when completed, give players a lot of Mist as a reward. There are always six of these tasks available, and the game refreshes them every day.

The tasks are usually pretty easy, such as selling a gem at Goofy’s shop, cooking a two-star meal or above, or feeding a critter. To view these duties, open the Dreamlight menu and go to the ‘Mist Duties’ section. When you complete a Mist Duty, the game will notify you, and you can get the reward by going to the Dreamlight Menu. Apart from Mist Duties, players can also complete Mist Milestones to get Mist. Since it is impossible to run out of duties, this is one of the most efficient ways to farm Mist.

Complete Quests

Disney Dreamlight Valley has a lot of story and friendship quests for players, and completing them is another way to obtain Mist. Players can see the Mist rewards for each quest by checking their quest menu. It’s usually somewhere between 250-500 Mist, which is a decent amount, but some quests can be a bit time-consuming. It’s pertinent to mention that only quests related to A Rift in Time will give players Mist- the base game quests, on the other hand, give players Dreamlight.

Removing the Swirling Sand With the Royal Hourglass

Lastly, players can also use their Royal Hourglass to clear away Swirling Sand to earn Mist. They can get this new royal tool by finishing The Flying Metal Nuisance, the same quest that unlocks EVE. After unlocking it, Dreamers should equip it, spot Swirling Sands, and interact with them to earn Mist.
