Tropical Wood is one of the many Foraging materials introduced alongside the Rift in Time DLC in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Players may have encountered this type of wood while trying to complete some of Gaston’s and Rapunzel’s Quests upon unlocking Eternity Isle.

Dreamers might find it difficult to obtain the Foraging material as it only spawns in one Biome throughout the whole Eternity Isle. However, that shouldn’t discourage players, since Tropical Wood in Disney Dreamlight Valley will respawn after a while.

Tropical Wood can only be found in The Grasslands Biome on Eternal Isle. It’s not difficult to reach this specific Biome as it doesn’t require any Mist to unlock any Biomes in between. Instead, the process is time-consuming as players are tasked with completing some Quests to actually gain access to The Grasslands. Here’s how it goes:

Biome

Required Quest

The Docks

  • Port of Many Worlds

The Courtyard

  • The Secrets of Eternity Isle

The Grasslands

  • The Flying Metal Nuisance
  • The Sands in the Hourglass

The Port of Many Worlds Quest is very simple as players only need to speak with Jafar and Merlin to reach Eternity Isle. Next, The Secrets of Eternity Isle Quest is also extremely easy, since it can be completed by finding two missing halves of the Ancient Sphere. The time-consuming problem lies with The Flying Metal Nuisance and The Sands in the Hourglass Quests.

Upon setting foot inside The Grasslands Biome, players will want to search near the base of the big and small mossy trees scattered around. There might be some Tropical Wood laying in random corners, but the majority are near the tree roots.

Although the game’s Foraging list says Tropical Wood is found in The Grasslands Biome in Disney Dreamlight Valley, there seem to be a couple of the Foraging materials in other nearby Biomes like The Grove and The Promenade.

To unlock The Grasslands Biome, players must try to find EVE in The Docks to get the Royal Hourglass tool. Sadly, speaking with her yields no results as she doesn’t remember the players. After a brief talk with Jafar, search EVE’s house to stumble upon a memory.

Head to the hidden cave in The Docks and search the chest to retrieve two Robot outfits. Wear them and speak with EVE again, who isn’t fully convinced. So, players decide to make the Best Fish Forever dish in Disney Dreamlight Valley from the memory to gain EVE’s trust and finally obtain the Hourglass tool.

All Dreamers need to do is follow Jafar's instructions as he guides them on how to use the Royal Hourglass in Disney Dreamlight Valley. After collecting the necessary materials and saving 2000 Mists, fix the broken bridge to finally access The Grasslands.
