The game offers players various exciting activities, such as crafting, cooking, mining, and more, but the real charm lies in its characters. From Frozen’s Anna to Ratatouille’s Remy, the game has over 25 characters from Disney and Pixar worlds.
EVE is one of the characters introduced in the A Rift in Time expansion pass. Like other characters in the valley, she also has friendship quests that players can take on as they strengthen their friendship with her. How to Complete the Directive: Plant Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Talk to EVE and Collect the Required Items
To start the quest, players will have to talk to EVE. During the conversation, they’ll find out that there’s something wrong in her house, so visit her house. Upon getting there, you’ll see a dead plant in a corner and discover that EVE’s scanner is out of order. Therefore, you decide to add an accessory to her scanner to enable it to scan plants on Eternity Isle. For that, you’ll need the following resources:
- 10 x Copper
- 3 x Ancient Gears
- 3 x Mechanical Parts.
To get copper, go to Ancient's Landing and mine the rock spots there using your Royal Pickaxe. Next, obtain three Ancient Gears by using Royal Hourglass. The final material, Mechanical Parts, can be crafted using brass ingots and bronze ingots. To craft one brass ingot, you’ll need three copper, two zinc, and one coal ore. Lastly, make bronze using four copper, one tin, and one coal ore.
Craft the Scanner Accessory
Go to a crafting station and craft the Scanner Accessory using all the collected materials. After that, return to EVE and give her the upgraded product.
Inspect EVE's Plant and Make Gourmet Grubs
Look at the table in EVE's house and spot the Dreamlight Cobra Lily plant. Upon examination, players will find out that it’s dried, so EVE suggests feeding it Gourmet Grubs.
The ingredients required for Gourmet Grubs are:
- Sea Snail
Visit Ancient's Landing and go fishing in The Overlook or The Docks. Equip the fishing rod and aim at the blue ripples to catch a sea snail.
- Sand Worm
Players can catch sand worms in the sand pool in the Glittering Dunes biome. For that, take out the fishing rod and fish in the orange ripples in The Wastes, The Plains, and The Borderlands.
- Scorpion
While players are at sand pools, they can also get a scorpion by fishing in blue ripples.
With all the ingredients collected, go to a cooking station and prepare Gourmet Grubs for EVE. Lastly, deliver the meal to EVE and complete the quest.
