Vanellope has yet again come up with another idea to transform the village into a big video game in Disney Dreamlight Valley. While completing Boss Up Quest, players will get to fight battles against "evil characters" and restore peace to the valley.
Dreamers must first collect a few "potions" to heal and gain an attack boost before launching into battle. There are some requirements to trigger the Boss Up Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so make sure to complete all of them.
How To Trigger The Boss Up Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley
To trigger the Boss Up Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players need to:
- Progress with Vanellope to reach Friendship Level 7
- Unlock Ursula
- Unlock Anna
- Unlock Frosted Heights for 10,000 Dreamlight (along with the Forest of Valor for 3,000)
Upon speaking with the racer, she sends players to collect some potions in preparation for the upcoming battles against the villains. The potions are:

After crafting the potions, head to Ursula and fight her, only to retreat.
Vanellope then asks players to find a "mystical sword" in the Forest of Valor. To find the mystical sword in Disney Dreamlight Valley, head southwest of the Forest of Valor Biome to find it stuck in a Small Tree Stump. Grab the Shovel and pluck the Stump out to get Pixel Sword & Shield, and don't forget to equip it.
Make sure to level up the Shovel by completing An Icy Invitation Friendship Quest for Anna.
Next, follow Vanellope and watch her fight with Mother Gothel.
The final part of the Quest is a bit difficult because it requires many materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley. After fighting Mother Gothel, Vanellope sends Dreamers to craft a Lure to fight the final boss, Scar. The required materials are:
- Kingfish x1: Caught from a blue ripple on Dazzle Beach between 6 PM and 5 AM
- Herring x3: Caught from a white ripple on Dazzle Beach and Glade of Trust
- Softwood x30: Obtained from removing Tree Stumps, bought from Kristoff’s Stall in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and collected from the following Biomes:
- Plaza
- Peaceful Meadow
- Forest of Valor
- Glade of Trust
- Fiber x30: Bought from Kristoff’s Stall or crafted using Seaweed at the Crafting Station.
Approach Scar's home and place the Lure near the entrance. Finally, fight with Scar in a battle of wits and "defeat" the final boss. Vanellope rewards players with some loot found in Scar’s cave and the Boss Up Quest is complete.
