As players progress through Disney Dreamlight Valley and unlock more biomes, they'll gain access to more and more items, characters, cookbook recipes, and crafting recipes. It can be difficult to keep track of all these things since there are so many of them. The game is only in early access for now, so this will keep growing even more.
It's best to find as many recipes as possible for now so that they don't stack up when more are eventually released. This guide will talk about Dark Wood, a Disney Dreamlight Valley material that's necessary for a few late-game recipes.
How To Get Dark Wood
Dark Wood is a material that players can only obtain after they've played quite a few hours of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Dark Wood will only spawn in the Forgotten Lands biome, next to trees. To enter this biome, players will have to spend 15,000 Dreamlight to get rid of the Giant Night Thorns blocking the entrance.
Like all other types of wood, it spawns on the ground throughout the biome but more so near trees. Players in the Disney Dreamlight Valley community have found that when using the outdoor furniture tool, they were able to move Dark Wood trees and put them all together to make gathering a faster process.
This wood, just as its name indicates, is quite dark; this makes it particularly difficult to spot due to the dim and eerie ambiance of the Forgotten Lands. Turning up the brightness of the screen might make collecting it easier.
Recipes
Dark Wood is no good when it comes to selling it for money; it's only worth 50 Star Coins at Goofy's Stalls. It is, however, useful when it comes to crafting these recipes:
