As players progress through Disney Dreamlight Valley, they will encounter a wide variety of obstacles that will block their path. Whether it is large blocks of ice or clusters of mushrooms, players will need to find a way to get past them. For the most part, these obstacles can be removed by upgrading the royal tools. This is accomplished by completing friendship quests with characters like Merlin.
Prior to the Scar Update, there was no way of removing the bones that blocked off half of the Sunlit Plateau. But once players complete The Circle of Life, they will be able to destroy the bones blocking the bridge. Here is how to complete The Circle of Life.
Talk to Mother Gothel
After receiving this quest from Scar, the first step will be to find Mother Gothel and ask her for advice on how to deal with the large piles of wildebeest bones. She tells Disney Dreamlight Valley players that they will need to upgrade their shovel with 10 Purified Night Shards and Old Bones from the mines below the Sunlit Plateau. Since the mines are fairly large, Mother Gothel gives players directions on where the Old Bones can be found.
Once inside the mines, turn left, walk through the corridor, turn right, and then finally turn left into a small alcove. The Old Bones will be there, as depicted in the image below.
Purified Night Shards can only be crafted. In order to make 10 of them, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will need to obtain 50 Night Shards and 10 Dream Shards. Dream Shards can be found when removing Night Thorns and Night Shards can be found when digging from glowing holes on the ground. As such, the materials needed for crafting Purified Night Shards can be found in every single biome.
Return to Scar
After Disney Dreamlight Valley players have obtained the Old Bones and the 10 Purified Night Shards, they will need to check in with Scar to determine what the next steps are. Before the new shovel head can be crafted, the Old Bones will need to be ground up into ashes. To do this, players will need to use the volcanic geyser in Scar's Cave.
Bury the Ashes
Once Disney Dreamlight Valley players have the ashes, they will need to dig a hole and bury them anywhere in the Sunlit Plateau. With the ashes now buried, players will need to use the watering can and wait for the ashes to grow into a flower. This process takes less than an hour, and the flower will need to be watered twice just like other crops. If players don't want to wait, they can craft a Miracle Growth Elixir to make the Flower of Bones grow instantly.
Craft the Roaring Shovel Head
After the Flower of Bones has fully grown, players will need to harvest it. Next, they will need to go to a crafting station. If players still have their 10 Purified Night Shards, they will be able to craft the Roaring Shovel Head. The option to craft this upgrade is listed under the 'Potion & Enhancement Tab'.
Remove the Large Bones
After crafting the Roaring Shovel Head, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will need to use the item to upgrade their shovel. The quest will update, and players will be directed to use the shovel to remove the three large bones blocking the bridge in Sunlit Plateau. When this is done and players talk to Scar, the quest will be completed.
