Disney Dreamlight Valley has a host of recipes players can make, but some of them are more difficult than others. Chocolate Ice Cream is one recipe that requires players to obtain a special ingredient in order to make, making it one of the harder recipes currently in the game. Players need to level up friendship with Remy from Ratatouille and then complete one of his friendship quests before they can unlock this ingredient, so they will probably need to spend a lot of time with the little chef developing that friendship before they can make their own ice cream in Dreamlight Valley.

Most of the ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley can be obtained within the valley itself. Vegetables can be grown by the player, and fruits can be harvested from fruit trees scattered about the various biomes, but some ingredients have to be purchased from Remy at his restaurant. This includes things like eggs, milk, cheese, and peanuts, and for the Ice Cream recipes, Slush Ice.

Chocolate Ice Cream is a four-star recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley, meaning players will need to combine four different ingredients in order to make it. As with all recipes, they will also need to use a piece of coal as fuel to power the stove they are cooking on.

The four ingredients needed to make Chocolate Ice Cream are Cocoa Beans, Sugarcane, Milk, and Slush Ice. Cocoa Beans can be harvested from Cocoa trees in the Glade of Trust and Sunlit Plateau, Sugarcane can be planted with seeds bought from Goofy's Dazzle Beach stall, and Milk is purchased from Remy's restaurant.

The other ingredients are relatively easy to obtain, but Slush Ice is a different story. In order to unlock Slush Ice in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players need to complete Remy's level 10 friendship quest. Give him gifts and hang out with him until he's level 10, and then complete all of his friendship quests. The final quest involves collecting snowballs and Purified Night Shard powder in order to unlock the Slush Ice ingredient.

With all of these ingredients in hand, players can go to any stove in the valley and make Chocolate Ice Cream. When made with just the base ingredients, this food item sells for 655 Star Coins each and restores an impressive 2074 energy if eaten. It can also be required as a favorite gift for villagers in the valley or even requested as a dish for customers at Remy's restaurant.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is in early access now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
