Disney Dreamlight Valley has expressed its very obvious love and appreciation for the Disney Pixar film universe, having run two Pixar-themed Star Path events and featuring characters from three Pixar films with more already confirmed for future updates.

With multiple Toy Story films and spin-offs to work with, Disney Dreamlight Valley has already introduced two beloved characters from these films, Buzz Lightyear and Woody, along with tons of fun themed items including furniture, motifs, and other collectibles. Here’s everything players need to know about everyone’s favorite Space Ranger, Buzz Lightyear, in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Unlock Buzz Lightyear In Dreamlight Valley

Buzz Lightyear is one of two Toy Story heroes, the other being Woody, that can be unlocked in Disney Dreamlight Valley. He is unlocked by completing the quest, “A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space,” which the player automatically starts upon unlocking the Toy Story realm for 7,000 Dreamlight.

When To Find Buzz Lightyear In Dreamlight Valley

All characters, except Merlin, have their own unique daily schedules within Dreamlight Valley. Characters will generally split their time between wandering the Valley, dining at Remy’s Restaurant, and browsing Scrooge’s Store.

When is Buzz Lightyear Awake?

Buzz Lightyear can be found patrolling Dreamlight Valley between the hours of 1 AM and 10 PM.

He can be a bit difficult to spot in his diminutive toy form, but during this time the player may encounter him in any of the valley’s biomes. He will accept gifts to increase friendship, and can accompany the player during daily tasks offering benefits from his assigned Companion role.

When is Buzz Lightyear Asleep?

Buzz Lightyear recharges his batteries by taking a rest every day from 10 PM until 1 AM.

At this time, he’ll return to his RV and the player won’t be able to interact with him or enter the RV for any quests including Collect 'Em All: Strangers from the Outside!, a quest offered by Buzz himself that requires recovery of some Alien Toys found inside the RV.

When is Buzz Lightyear in Remy’s Restaurant?

Buzz Lightyear, unfortunately, never partakes in the fine dining experience offered by Chez Remy, presumably because, as a toy, he does not eat. Therefore, players will unfortunately have to rely on other methods to raise his friendship.

All Buzz Lightyear Friendship Quests

Immediately upon welcoming the Space Ranger to Dreamlight Valley by completing his first quest, the player will reach Friendship Level 2 and earn their first of Buzz Lightyear’s friendship rewards. A new quest will unlock at this level, too, with additional quests becoming available at specific friendship ranks.

In addition to his regular progression of Friendship Quests, which reward the specific items below, Buzz Lightyear also offers an additional quest series. These quests offer the player the opportunity to partake in some Space Ranger rescue missions to receive a unique reward.

All Buzz Lightyear Friendship Rewards

Players will earn a new reward upon reaching each new Friendship Level with Buzz Lightyear. His final reward is Buzz Lightyear's Space Pack, a clothing accessory for the player's back, awarded upon completing the quest, "The Definition of a Hero," at Friendship Level 10.
