Belle has always been known for loving books and reading stories about far-off places that are outside of her village. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, Belle is one of the beloved characters to have been added in the fourth free update, alongside Beast. Belle's friendship quests are some that really align with her personality, whether that be helping Beast, or finding some good books to read.
Book Hunt is Belle's level 2 quest, which players will quickly be able to accomplish and begin. This quest is one where Belle is settling into the Valley and wants to be able to use Merlin's library, but sadly, some villagers never return some of his books. In order to have Merlin allow villagers to borrow books again, it is up to the player to find the missing books and return them in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where To Find All Of Merlin's Missing Books
After talking to Belle and starting the quest, players will be able to begin going down the list of places to look for Merlin's missing books. First, players will need to talk to Goofy, Remy, Mirabel, and Scrooge McDuck. After talking with each one of these villagers, we will unlock different clues about where the missing books are located in the Valley.
These books will have different locations, which can be found with the clues given by the different characters the books. However, some will need to be dug up or fished up, while others might just be around and about on the ground.
Below is a list of the biomes and ways to find the missing books for the quest.
- Dazzle Beach's book can be found by fishing
- The Plaza has a book lying on the ground
- The last one can be found in Dazzle Beach in a sparkling hole
After locating all the different books in Disney Dreamlight Valley for Belle, players will need to find the Valley Library. This is Meriln's home, which many have probably already visited many times since beginning their journey on the game. There are a few more steps needed after this that players will need to complete before the quest is finished.
Players will soon be in Merlin's Library with Belle, and she will ask the player to help her categorize the books correctly. This might take a few tries, but below is a list of what choices to select to complete the quest successfully.
