In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the very essence of the game revolves around fostering friendships. Almost every task the player undertakes aims at deepening relationships with the village's diverse residents. Simple gestures, such as giving cooked meals or flowers, contribute to enhancing these friendships. As these relationships grow, the player unlocks new quests and gains access to exclusive rewards.
One Valley resident especially in need of friendship assistance is The Beast. His initial Friendship quest, "The Beast With No Bite," becomes accessible at level 2. This guide will detail how to successfully complete this quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start “The Beast With No Bite”
The quest "The Beast With No Bite" unlocks upon reaching Friendship Level 2 with The Beast. Once they meet this requirement, the player should speak with The Beast, who reveals that he has been feeling a bit down lately since moving into the Valley. Additionally, he shares that he still has concerns about Belle’s feelings toward him. Thankfully, the player has some ideas to help him out of his funk.
How to Complete “The Beast With No Bite”
The quest starts off by capturing some candid moments with The Beast using the Camera. The player needs to take a photo with The Beast at each of the following locations:
- The Dream Castle
- Remy's Restaurant
- Any outdoor location in the valley
These photos will serve as mementos that might help improve Beast's mood, while also providing him a good reason to explore the Valley. Once the player has completed this task, they need to speak with The Beast once more.
The Beast admits that he’s having trouble communicating with Belle, and other villagers, without the counsel of the unfortunately absent Lumière and Cogsworth. The player offers to help him out by speaking to villagers on his behalf and getting insights into maintaining relationships and uplifting someone's spirits.
Speak with Mickey and Mirabel
First, speak to Mickey about his long-term relationship with Minnie. Then, chat with Mirabel about the dynamics of her large family. Mickey emphasizes the importance of regular date nights and meaningful conversations. Mirabel's family, meanwhile, shows their love through food. Return to the Beast and discuss the new insights gained. The player suggests combining both villagers’ suggestions and arranging a special dinner date with Belle.
Help The Beast Plan a Dinner Date
Purchase the Date-Night Exterior Table from Scrooge
To put this plan into action, head to Scrooge's shop to purchase a Date-Night Exterior Table. To do this, talk to Scrooge and navigate to the option to order items. Click on the Furniture category, and Beast's portrait should appear. Click on the icon and order the Date-Night Exterior Table for 5,000 Star Coins, and it will be added to the player's collection.
With the table in possession, return to the Beast and hand it over. Despite the thoughtful gift, the Beast's worries persist. The player insists that he try to relax, and offers to prepare the dinner for their upcoming date. The Beast is grateful, and he gives the player a book of recipes, which the player can learn from by right-clicking on them in their inventory if needed.
Prepare Dishes for the Dinner Date
Find a cooking station and prepare the following dishes: Vegetable Soup x2, Seafood Pasta x2, and Gray Stuff x2. These dishes can easily found in the recipe list by clicking on the Dreamlight icon at the very bottom, which will show only recipes pertaining to active quests. To craft these meals, the player will need to collect double the ingredients listed below to prepare two servings of each recipe:

Wait Until a Clear Night to Set The Table
Not only should the food be perfect, but the atmosphere needs to be just right, too. The player needs to wait until after sunset on a night with clear skies; typically, after 7 PM will suffice. Remember, adjusting the in-game time settings won't affect this, and time traveling is never recommended as it can cause irreparable issues to the game’s save data.
Once the time is right, return to the Beast and give him the prepared dishes. Retrieve the Date-Night Exterior Table from The Beast and set it up at a location of choice anywhere in the Valley.
Once placed, this will trigger the date event between Belle and The Beast, and the player can witness their romantic exchanges. After capturing the moment with a photo, the Beast will confess that the date went exceptionally well, and will allow the player to keep the table as a memento. This wraps up the "The Beast With No Bite" quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, with the next Friendship quest being unlocked at Friendship Level 4.
