Disney Dreamlight Valley is a cozy life sim that packs lots of exciting activities for players of all ages, including cooking, farming, friendship quests, and so much more. In order to increase friendship levels with the adorable characters in the game, players will need to complete the quests they present and progress ahead in the game.
In one of the quests, Back on the Waves, Prince Eric requires players' help in repairing his compass so that he can successfully sail on and resume his naval expeditions. Here's how players can complete the Back on the Waves friendship quest for Prince Eric in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete Back on the Waves in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Talk to Eric and Get the Sea Maps
Upon reaching level seven friendship with Prince Eric, players will receive the Back on the Waves quest. During a conversation with Eric, players will find out that he wishes to get back to the sea and embark on sailing once again. Moreover, he will seek players' help in getting a couple of sea maps and fixing his broken compass.
To secure the sea maps, Dreamers will need to go to Scrooge McDuck. Take the maps from him and deliver them to Eric, who will gladly receive the maps and tell players that he does have a compass, but it needs to be fixed.
Talk to WALL-E and Collect the Required Materials
Upon learning about the broken compass of Eric, players decide to get WALL-E's help on the matter. Upon talking to the shy little robot, players will find out that they need to craft the Dreamlight Magnet to repair the compass. The materials required for crafting the magnet include:
- 4 x Iron Ingot
- 6 x Tinkering Parts
- 8 x Crystal
Iron Ingot itself needs to be crafted at the crafting station. Make one Iron Ingot using five iron ores and one coal ore. Collectively, 20 iron ores and four coal ores will be used to craft four Iron Ingots.
The next item on the list, Tinkering Parts, also needs iron ingots. Six tinkering parts are made from four Iron Ingots. All in all, players need to make eight Iron Ingots in total using 40 iron ores and eight coal ores.
Players can collect iron ore by mining at the rock spots in the biomes of Glade of Trust, Frosted Heights, Forest of Valor, Sunlit Plateau, or Forgotten Lands. The Forgotten Lands will also have crystals, allowing players to kill two birds with one stone.
Craft the Magnet and Talk to Eric
Get to the crafting station, craft the Iron ingots and Tinkering Parts first, and then the Dreamlight Magnet. After crafting the Dreamlight Magnet, deliver it to WALL-E, who will use it to fix the sailor's broken compass.
Once the compass is fixed, head back to Prince Eric and give him the compass. Eric will thank players for their help, concluding the Back on the Waves quest.
