A creepy looking glitch in Disney Dreamlight Valley involving The Forgotten is causing some players' skin to crawl. The original Disney Dreamlight Valley character may have turned things around after a redemption arc, but this bug in the system won't help them with making friends around the valley.

For those not in the know, The Forgotten serves as the main antagonist of Dreamlight Valley's first act. A dark counterpart to the player character, The Forgotten once ruled over the valley but lost their sense of wonderment and magic, resulting in a plague of problems from the appearance of night thorns to characters forgetting fond memories of their loved ones. However, after being saved from the darkness, The Forgotten has some endearing quests in Dreamlight Valley as they learn to fit in with the other characters living there.

Their shadowy appearance doesn't change, however, and a recently revealed glitch is making some players feel The Forgotten was even creepier as a villain. As shared on Reddit, user Large-Counter6916 showed off a video of their avatar changing their hairstyle in Dreamlight Valley. Once a new 'do was picked out, a cloud of smoke appeared, and The Forgotten rose up from the sidewalk through a shadowy portal. While many players have pointed out that The Forgotten getting in on the fun of a trip to the hair salon is commonplace, the glitch caused an erratic twitching of their head as they rose into view, providing some unsettling imagery in the normally serene cozy game.

Dreamlight Valley Players Are Still Split Over The Forgotten

Despite the unpleasantness of the imagery presented by the glitch, some fans responding to the video are still enamored by The Forgotten, noting that they are the embodiment of the player's inner child, and they turn over a new leaf after the player helps The Forgotten rediscover the magic in everything. A few have even expressed disappointment that the game doesn't include a friendship quest or other ways to bond with their other self. Others, however, can't seem to get over the creepy factor, and one pointed out that they have avoided completing The Forgotten's questline in order to keep them from becoming a permanent resident of their village.

Regardless of how fans feel about The Forgotten, developer Gameloft is plowing forward with the Disney Dreamlight Valley 2024 roadmap. As predicted by many, an update bringing Mulan and her dragon pal Mushu to the game just launched a few days ago. Looking forward, fans can expect Tiana to join the game sometime over the summer, and Expansion Pass holders will be able to face off with Jafar in the Treasures of Time update, also planned for this summer.
