Disney Dreamlight Valley currently features two iconic characters from the Toy Story universe: Woody and Buzz Lightyear. The latter, the noble Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear, has made it his duty to keep the peace in Dreamlight Valley, while Woody has opted to let a bunch of aliens get loose in the valley while annoying everyone with odd carousel music.
Buzz is concerned that the local villains aren’t respecting his authority and is determined to prove to them that the Space Rangers won’t stand by while they scheme their nefarious plots. He believes the organization could use a bit of PR and enlists the help of the player, along with the valley’s other residents, to make this message clear. Here’s what players need to do to complete Buzz Lightyear’s quest "A Space Ranger Reputation" in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start the Quest "A Space Ranger Reputation"
The quest “A Space Ranger Reputation” is unlocked upon reaching Friendship Level 4 with Buzz Lightyear. The player must also have both unlocked Ursula and Maui, as they will need to speak with them to proceed during the quest. If any of the quest’s prerequisite criteria has not been met, the quest menu will show which milestones are still needed.
How to Complete the Quest "A Space Ranger Reputation"
Following Buzz’s first quest, “A Space Ranger Recruit,” in which the player is inducted as an official Space Ranger cadet, and upon reaching Friendship Level 4, Buzz tells the player it’s time for their first mission. He is convinced that the villainous sea witch Ursula is up to no good, and that he and the player need to make a preemptive strike to stop whatever trickery she must be scheming.
Find Ursula and Listen to the Conversation
They head to Ursula’s current location to confront her; she'll either be in her home or in the valley's waters. The player sits through a short conversation between the two characters wherein Ursula dishes out the verbal equivalent of rolling her eyes at Buzz’s insinuations. Buzz is discouraged, but he’s not backing down just yet. He’s convinced that Ursula is merely not taking him seriously and decides the Space Rangers could benefit from a bit of marketing to show that they truly mean business.
Collect Playing Cards in the Toy Story Realm
To get started, Buzz sends the player to the Toy Story Realm to retrieve Buzz Lightyear Playing Cards. The playing cards will sparkle, making them easier to notice, and they can be found in the following locations in Bonnie’s Room:
- By the yellow book featuring a rainbow on the cover, at the foot of Bonnie’s bed.
- By the red book featuring an Easter egg on the cover, at the furthest corner of the room.
- By the blue book featuring music notes on the cover, at the far right corner from where the player enters the room.
Once the player has retrieved all the Buzz Lightyear Playing Cards, they need to head back to Buzz to discover which other supplies he’ll need for his project. Buzz tells the player that he needs to retrieve some Sheets of Paper, and provides the player with an Adhesive Bonding Agent necessary to combine the items into leaflets.
Locate Three Sheets of Paper
The Sheets of Paper Buzz requested can be found in the homes of three villagers: Merlin, Donald Duck, and Mickey Mouse. Simply visit each home, locate, and "borrow" the sparkling pieces of paper inside each. Once the player retrieves the last piece of paper, they are ready to craft the Buzz Lightyear Leaflets.
Craft and Distribute the Buzz Lightyear Leaflets
Visit any crafting station and in the Functional Items category there is now a quest marked recipe to create the Buzz Lightyear Leaflets. Do so then head back to Buzz Lightyear, who decides the fliers should be delivered to Donald Duck, Maui, and Ursula.
The sea witch decides she’s tired of the harassment and complies to humor Buzz Lightyear and his authority. Once all three leaflets have been handed out, the player can return to Buzz Lightyear and complete the quest, “A Space Ranger Reputation.”
