With the release of the second major update in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players can finally get Buzz Lightyear and Woody to join their village. Of course, players won't simply get to log in, and they show up like magic. Just like with several other Disney characters, players will need to open the Toy Story realm and complete a couple of new realm quests.
While the realm quests are on the long side, they are not particularly difficult to complete. So here is how players can complete A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space and add Buzz Lightyear to the valley.
Open the Realm
Before Disney Dreamlight Valley players can start this new realm quest, they will first need to unlock the Toy Story realm. In order to do this, players will need 7,000 Dreamlight. Once the realm is unlocked, players will get the realm quest added to their quest log just like with the other realm quests.
Talk to Buzz
Once players arrive in the realm, they will see Buzz Lightyear up on a table. To reach him, walk up the platform of blocks directly ahead of the entrance/exit to the realm. After talking to Buzz, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will need to track down the two AA Batteries to help Buzz function once more.
The first battery can be found near the bed on the left side, and the second battery is underneath the books to the right of the realm entrance/exit. After finding both batteries, return to Buzz Lightyear and talk to him again.
Build the Race Car Track
Once he is good as new, Buzz tells players that Woody is trapped on the other side of the window and that the only way to save him is by building the Race Car Track and using it to unlock the window. Unfortunately, some pieces are missing, and Buzz needs help finding them. There are 10 pieces in total that need to be found, and all of them are scattered across the floor of the bedroom. They glow with sparkles like other quest items, so they aren't difficult to find.
Find the Magic Growing Cactuses
Once all the pieces have been found, talk to Buzz again, and he'll ask Disney Dreamlight Valley players to look for Magic Growing Cactuses. There are five of them, and they look like colorful buttons as depicted above. Once players have all the Growing Cactuses they can place them under the tracks. After placing the cactuses, use the watering can on them and the track will be completed.
Use the Ladder
With the track in place, talk to Buzz and he will give players the car that is needed for the track. Move down the ramp and go toward the ladder depicted in the image above. This will trigger a cutscene where the window is opened and Woody is able to come back inside. Go back up the platform and walk across the book toward the bed. Talk to Woody and then talk to Buzz to start the next step of this quest.
Take Pictures of Bonnie's Drawings
Woody and Buzz need help with a project, and they need to consult Bonnie's Drawings. To help them, find the pictures with gold stars across the room and take pictures of them. To take pictures, use the phone to take selfies with the drawings as part of the picture. Disney Dreamlight Valley players do not need to get close to the drawings. As long as the picture is within the frame of the selfie, players will get credit for taking that picture even if the drawing was on the other side of the room.
Bring Buzz to Dreamlight Valley
Once all the pictures have been taken, return to Buzz and Woody. Buzz will decide he wants to go to Dreamlight Valley, but he will need a place to stay. Leave the realm and the find a place in Dreamlight Valley to place Buzz's RV.
Of course, before Buzz can arrive in Dreamlight Valley, players will need to spend Star Coins to build the RV. Use the sign to summon Scrooge McDuck and pay him 10,000 Star Coins to build the RV. If players need more Star Coins, there are plenty of methods for getting more quickly. Once Buzz has arrived at Dreamlight Valley, talk to him and the quest will be completed. At this point, players will get the next realm quest called 'You're My Favorite Deputy'.
