After Disney Dreamlight Valley players have completed the new story quest and unlocked Olaf, it won't be long before they also get new friendship quests from him as well. Just like with other characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players will receive new quests from Olaf as they level him up.
The first quest offered by Olaf, 'A Place for Joy', is unlocked when Olaf reaches Level 2. In this quest, Olaf searches for a way to bring joy to others in the village, and he needs help doing it. Here is how players can complete the quest 'A Place for Joy'.
Speak With Olaf
When picking up the quest, Olaf will talk about his attempts to bring joy to both Mother Gothel and Scar. None of his attempts have gone well, and how he needs help gathering some items that he intends to be gifts. For the next step of this quest, players will need to find three Salmon, four Red Bromeliads, four White Passion Lilies, and one Blue Passion Lily.
Salmon can be fished from white circles in both the Frosted Heights and Sunlit Plateau. If players are struggling to catch any Salmon, they can also get them from Moana's boat if they have completed the quest to repair it. Red Bromeliad is a flower that can be found in Sunlit Plateau. Both White Passion Lily and Blue Passion Lily can be found in the Frosted Heights. Blue Passion Lilies are less common than their white counterpart, so players may need to roam around a bit before they find one.
Return to Olaf
Once all these items have been found, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will need to find Olaf and give the items to him. After a brief conversation, follow Olaf as he rushes off to give Mother Gothel her gift. This doesn't go well, as Olaf mixes up the gifts and gives her the raw Salmon instead of the flowers.
Give Olaf's Gift to Scar
After Mother Gothel's reaction to her gift, it is up to players to give Scar his gift as it would likely not end well for Olaf if he delivered it himself. Naturally, Scar does not like the flowers that he receives and asks Disney Dreamlight Valley players to tell Olaf to stop bothering him. From there, head to the bridge in Sunlit Plateau and wait for Olaf to arrive. He realizes that his attempt to bring joy ended horribly, and he needs to try a different approach.
Pick Up the Memory
As Olaf figures out what to do next, a glowing sphere appears nearby. Pick it up to see an image of the past where Olaf entertained other villagers by putting on plays and telling stories. Seeing this memory, Olaf remembers how he used to entertain others by putting on performances before the Forgetting. The only problem is that the stage was destroyed at some point, and now players have to make a new one.
In order to craft the stage, players will need to gather 18 Softwood, craft four Rope, and craft four Iron Ingots. Finally, speak with Minnie to see if she has any fabric that could be used for a curtain. Softwood can be gathered off of the ground in the Plaza, the Peaceful Meadow, the Forest of Valor, and the Glade of Trust. Rope is crafted with eight Fiber, and Iron Ingots are made with five Iron Ore and one Coal Ore.
Finally, find Minnie and talk to her to get fabric. Luckily, she has some extra on hand and doesn't need anything for it in return. After getting the fabric, go to the nearest crafting station and use the materials to craft the Stage. Take the Stage to Olaf and this quest will be completed.
