The hidden requirement of A Friendly Exchange quest is to find a memory that shows an image of WALL-E in the valley before the forgetting occurred. To find this memory, players will have to remove the night thorns in the valley.

The memory reveals that WALL-E and Ariel used to trade items with each other, both being keen collectors of junk. It is WALL-E's wish to start trading again, but he's not sure which items he should start trading with. However, Ariel makes this decision easier for him as she enlists the required items which players will need to collect.

Talk to WALL-E and Ariel

Upon finding the memory and reaching the required friendship level with WALL-E, players can start the quest. For this purpose, engage in conversation with WALL-E and then with Ariel. The conversations will reveal that Ariel needs the following items from WALL-E:

  • A Toy Train
  • A Bowling Pin
  • A Light Bulb.

Collect the Required Items

To help WALL-E, players will have to look for these items and collect them one by one. The first item, Toy Train, is located in Mickey's house. Head inside his house, where the toy train can be found on his desk.

Next, head over to Goofy's house to collect the Bowling Pin. Goofy's house is located in the center of the Peaceful Meadow. The Light Bulb is the last item that players need to collect for the mermaid, which can be found in the house of the WALL-E himself.

Return to WALL-E

After gathering all the required items, get back to WALL-E and hand them over to the shy little robot, who will then proceed to deliver those items to Ariel as a part of their trade. Players should listen to WALL-E and Ariel as they exchange items. Once done, talk to him one last time to complete the quest.
