Aside from the Story Quests, there are many Friendship Quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley that tell smaller stories involving the various Disney characters that inhabit the village. Each character has their own set of Friendship Quests with a self-contained story. To find out what happens next in a story, players will need to talk to rank up their Friendship Level with that character.

This is the case with the second Friendship Quest from Donald Duck, which is called A Fishy Dispute. This guide will show players what they need to do to complete this Friendship Quest.

How to Start A Fishy Dispute

Once the quest is available, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will need to talk to Donald Duck. He will tell them about how he wants to prove Goofy wrong about where Catfish can be caught, and he needs help with settling the debate. He gives players an outfit that they need to change into for a fishing extravaganza. Once players have changed into the outfit, they will need to talk to Donald again to proceed to the next step.

Catching Fish From the Ocean

Donald is convinced that Catfish can be caught from the ocean, and he wants to prove it. To do so, he asks the player to catch 10 fish from the ocean. While players can fish anywhere from the ocean, this is not an efficient strategy as this results in getting more seaweed. Catching seaweed does not count, so players should focus on fishing from the circles with bubbles coming up from the middle. Any fish caught from one of the three circles (white, blue, and orange-yellow) will count for this Quest.

Speak to Donald Duck

After catching 10 fish, talk to Donald again. He will notice that not a single fish that was caught was a Catfish, but he is stubborn and refuses to admit that he is wrong. Instead, Donald will lead players to where he recalls seeing a Catfish. An orange-yellow circle will appear at the spot that Donald goes to. Players will need to fish from that circle to progress the quest.

The Time Capsule

Donald quickly forgets all about the Catfish debate when the player gives him the rusty Time Capsule that they caught from the circle. He will unlock it and give it back to the player. Once the Time Capsule is opened, players will get the next piece of a memory, featuring photographs of Donald Duck and what appears to be another Time Capsule buried in the Sunlit Plateau.

The Time Capsule can be found in the area shown in the picture above. Once players find the Time Capsule, they must dig it up with their shovel and give it to Donald Duck. He makes note that this Time Capsule is different from the others and will take time to open. If players want to find out what is inside, they will need to rank up their Friendship Level with Donald to unlock the next Friendship Quest.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
