Facebook Gaming streamer Disguised Toast announced he'll be slowing down on Among Us content, explaining that he's no longer excited by the game, despite it being a major factor for the streamer's success.

Disguised Toast is often known as one of the biggest Among Us streamers on the internet. His popularity surged around the time he participated in the Among Us streaming session with United States House representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and since he's been responsible for organizing many lobbies among the Pokimane, Valkyrae, Sykkuno, and Corpse Husband crowd. After being left out of Jimmy Fallon's Among Us stream, Valkyrae said that he should've been there as the "face of Among Us." However, Disguised Toast recently announced he'll be taking a break from Among Us, for now.

Though Toast signed a deal with Facebook Gaming, he's allowed to pop in on Twitch from time to time to interact with his community. In a recent Twitch stream, he started off by saying that Among Us isn't as popular anymore, then followed up by saying that he's no longer excited by the game. What makes the game interesting, he explains is the "human aspect" of it, referring to the social strategizing it takes to win.

However, by now, after playing Among Us on so many occasions with so many other streamers, nothing new happens, Disguised Toast explains. All of the scenarios, strategies, lies, and backstabs have already happened before, meaning sessions are beginning to grow redundant. Though Disguised Toast is known to be a skilled Among Us player, he says, "I can't come up with anything new anymore."

As a result, Disguised Toast plans to scale back on the amount of Among Us content he publishes. Even after the new Among Us map released, Toast feels that there's no way to truly change up the gameplay in a way that will keep it interesting. However, the streamer suggests adding "special roles" to keep the game feeling fresh. Just recently, Toast played with Among Us mods, one that featured roles such as the Engineer, Medic, and Officer roles. Like the Imposter, Engineers can vent, which is precisely why Toast was wrongfully voted off.

Going forward, Toast says he is fond of the idea of playing Minecraft on stream. However, while it is a widely successful game in terms of content creation, he'd be entering a competitive market alongside Minecraft gamers like Dream.

This doesn't necessarily mean that the Facebook Gaming streamer is done playing Among Us. He didn't say he's completely done with the title but rather wants to slow down on how much he plays in the future. Still, Toast's fans are calling this the "end of an era."

Among Us is available now on Mobile, PC, and Switch. Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions will release in 2021.
