A vast assortment of attributes is a part of every Diablo game, and Diablo Immortal is no different. Character progression is intrinsically tied to upgrading one's stats, and these increases mostly come from fortuitous loot drops and level-ups. It’s essential for players to learn how to navigate and make the most out of this system if they hope to take down the forces of Hell and save the world of Sanctuary.

Though numerous, there are three types of stats that make up the attribute system in Diablo Immortal: primary attributes, secondary attributes, and additional attributes. This guide will cover them categorically.

Primary Attributes

Primary Attributes come in five flavors: strength, intelligence, fortitude, vitality, and willpower. Increasing primary attributes increases the secondary attributes, and increasing secondary attributes increases player power in Diablo Immortal.

  • Strength – increases physical damage dealt, making it useful for Barbarian, Monk, Demon Hunter, and Crusader.
  • Intelligence – increases magical damage dealt, making it useful for Wizard and Necromancer.
  • Fortitude – increases armor and armor penetration.
  • Vitality – increases life.
  • Willpower – increases potency and resistance.

The useful thing about fortitude and willpower is that they offer both offensive and defensive bonuses through the secondary stats they increase.

Secondary Attributes

Secondary Attributes are all about player power, and feature perhaps the single most important stat in all of Diablo Immortal – combat rating. Split into offensive and defensive ratings, it is compared against the combat rating of the enemy, and either grant a bonus or a penalty depending on if the rating is higher or lower than the target. The other secondary attributes are: armor, armor penetration, potency, and resistance.

  • Offensive Rating – if it’s higher than the target’s defensive rating, deals increased damage.
  • Defensive Rating – if it’s higher than the target’s offensive rating, takes reduced damage.
  • Armor – reduces damage taken and improves block chance, where a successful block halves damage.
  • Armor Penetration – ignores a percentage of enemy armor, as well as increases Critical Hit damage.
  • Potency – increases duration of harmful status effects against an enemy’s Resistance rating.
  • Resistance – reduces effects of harmful status effects.

Additional Attributes

Lastly, additional attributes are not only the most interesting category, but they also allow players to truly establish their unique build for Diablo Immortal. They are numerous, can only be increased through items, and not all of them complement well together, so players need to be careful in which gear they choose to keep.

  • Accuracy Rating – increases chance to hit an enemy against their Evasion rating.
  • Evasion Rating – increases chance to dodge an attack against an enemy’s Accuracy rating.
  • Attack Speed – increases the speed of a player’s attacks.
  • Cooldown Reduction – increases the recharge rate of a player’s abilities.
  • Critical Hit Chance – increases the chance for attacks to do double damage.
  • Critical Hit Damage – increases the critical damage multiplier.
  • Critical Hit Resistance – reduces the chance of enemies scoring a critical hit against the player.
  • Movement Speed – increases the walking speed of the character.
  • Block Chance – increases the chance of halving incoming attacks.
  • Armor Piercing – increases the chance to ignore enemy armor.
  • Life Drain – increases the percentage of life stolen from enemies per hit.
  • Life Regeneration – increases the amount of life recovered every five seconds.
  • Magic Find – increases the chance of getting higher quality equipment from loot.
  • Cheat Death – increases the chance of surviving a fatal blow by instead remaining with one life point.

It’s important to bear in mind that some classes in Diablo Immortal benefit from a specific additional attribute more than the others. For example, a Necromancer may find plenty of mileage from Cooldown Reduction and Accuracy Rating, but a Monk on the other hand would prefer to focus on Attack Speed instead.
