Set between the events of Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play MMO action-RPG developed by Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase for iOS, Android, and PC. Players in Diablo Immortal choose a character class — Barbarian, Wizard, Monk, Necromancer, Demon Hunter, or Crusader — in hopes of locating and destroying the hidden shards of the Worldstone, to prevent the Lord of Damnation, Skarn, from destroying the world of Sanctuary.

As many gamers know, however, no game is without its bugs. Some can be massive and game breaking, while others can be minor glitches that barely register before players can move on as if nothing happened. However, this bug in Diablo Immortal is no graphical glitch or anything to do with gameplay, but, rather, it is a bug with the game's Battle Pass.

This is a glitch that has existed for almost a month, as players have been complaining about losing experience via Diablo Immortal's Battle Pass since early July. Apparently, when players level up their Battle Pass in game, they see the animation that shows that they are receiving experience, but the experience bar does not actually increase. In this way, players are not actually receiving the experience they should be as they are ranking up their Battle Pass, which means they are losing out on millions of XP points.

A community lead for Diablo Immortal assures fans on Reddit that Blizzard is aware of the issue and has issued a hotfix and has also promised that all the XP will be awarded back to the players that lost out on it initially. However, two days after that, there are still players on Reddit complaining that the fix did not actually work and they are still losing out on the XP points when they rank up their Battle Pass. Unfortunately, fans and critics are already attacking Diablo Immortal for microtransactions and other things, and this Battle Pass glitch is sure to add fuel to the flames.

It is encouraging to know that Blizzard does take its games and fanbase seriously and continually provides updates for Diablo Immortal in order to make sure the game is running smoothly as well as to keep it engaging and exciting for players. So, players can look forward to seeing a real fix for this bug soon, along with an XP reimbursement. In any case, Diablo Immortal continues to be a popular game in the franchise to tide fans over before Diablo 4 comes next year.

Diablo Immortal is currently available on Android, iOS, and PC.
