While Diablo Immortal's momentum has faltered, understandable given its incredible wave of initial support, Blizzard continues to support its controversial mobile ARPG robustly. Diablo Immortal's latest update, patch 1.5.2, is now live and with it several significant features have been added to the game. Whether it's the ability to change classes for free, the new end-game Hero's Journey experience, or the Adventurer's Path LTE, Diablo Immortal players should all find something exciting within the new update. As Diablo Immortal players know, a lot of time and resources go into leveling a character. It's not just that Diablo Immortal is built around character progression, but also that its monetization heavily disincentivizes "re-rolling" or making an alt. Blizzard's new class change feature is meant to blunt the harsh edge of that. Now, instead of players being stuck playing a single Diablo Immortal class that they may not enjoy, they can swap with ease. The feature only works for characters level 35 or higher, but after that their class can be changed once every seven days for free.RELATED: Diablo Immortal Season 2 Battle Pass Has Two Paid Upgrade VersionsThere's never enough end-game content regardless of the game, most game players can agree. Blizzard thinks Diablo Immortal is ripe for just such an expansion. The Hero's Journey end-game experience is a new meta progression track that unlocks un the Frozen Tundra. Completing the increasingly challenging tasks will reward a variety of useful items and resources, including Platinum, Aspirant's Keys, Legendary's Crests, and a unique Glorious Journey Portrait Frame.

Diablo Immortal Patch Notes for July 20

Next on Blizzard's list of additions to Diablo Immortal is the new Adventurer's Path LTE. Running between July 20 and August 3, players will be able to complete Adventurer's Path tasks for bonus rewards. Individual tasks will reward gold, enchanted dust, and scrap materials. Larger milestone rewards include 10 Aspirant's Keys for completing 8 tasks, an Adventurer's Laurel Portrait Frame for completing 16 tasks, and a Legendary Crest for completing 20 tasks.

There's obviously much more to find in the new Diablo Immortal patch beyond what's been previously mentioned. The new Helliquary boss named Gorgothra the Claimer, the Hungering Moon LTE will run between July 29 and August 1, and the premium Amber Blades cosmetic set are just a few such additions. There are also 36 new Class Legendary Items, as well as changes to a number of other items. Suffice to say, today's patch is impactful.

The continued success of Diablo Immortal demands frequent content updates to keep players invested in the grind. Today's patch is bigger than most would expect for what's not necessarily even a content-focused patch. That's exactly what Diablo Immortal players would want to see, but on the other hand, there are questions about whether even robust content expansion will counter frustrations over monetization. Regardless, the new update is available to all Diablo Immortal players now.
