The Barbarian has it all going on in Diablo immortal. Usually characters that try to cover damage, tankiness, and mobility fall into the jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none category, but the Barbarian is a notable exception. It's among the best classes in each of these elements.

But that's not granted to the player for free. Gearing up a Barbarian in Diablo Immortal is tougher than equipping most other classes, since no choice is truly terrible. Every choice is good, but only a select few legendary weapons stand out as the best of the best.

8 The Remembered - PvP - Off-Hand

Diablo Immortal Barbarian Walking Past A Sign
  • Hammer of the Ancients now summons a Spirit of the Ancients who stuns all nearby enemies and then fights beside you for a while.

As if the Barbarian wasn't already good enough in the battlegrounds, turning it into a summoner and disabler can feel like joining the many PvP cheaters. But it's completely legitimate, so long as players have The Remembered equipped.

This stun hits all nearby enemies, not just those who are targeted by the skill. Useful on offense or defense, this will set up a straggling target for an easy kill or save the player from certain death at key moments.

7 Dishonored Blade - PvE - Off-Hand

Diablo Immortal Cleave Hitting Three Enemies At Once
  • Demoralize duration increased by 30%.

The power of Demoralize in a group rift is unreal; it forces mobs to attack the Barbarian and they'll do so at a greatly diminished capacity. Use auto-navigate to get to the entrance, then invite some folks to the group and become their best friend.

But this is also useful in solo instances. When coupled with Undying Rage, this window of taking reduced damage and getting death back will keep the character topped off for the entire dungeon.

6 Obin's Many Fingers - PvP - Off-Hand

  • Chained Spear hurls 2 additional spears.

Chained Spear is incredible in PvP but it's tough to target, especially opponents that know their stuff. The Barbarian isn't the easiest class to use and it shows when narrowly missing the Chained Spear attack over and over again during a match.

Want to turn some of those misses into hits? Obin's Many Fingers throws out two additional spears, making it that much more likely to snag one of those wiggly opponents who think they can outmaneuver the grab. Even if this results in just a few extra grabs in each skirmish, it's well worth it.

5 Razorgrip - PvE - Off-Hand

Diablo Immortal Whirlwind Sending Enemies Flying
  • The range and damage of Hammer of the Ancients can now be increased by charging it up.

Adding a channeled skill to the mobile Barbarians loadout will feel almost sacrilegious, but for taking down rifts, it's the perfect opener. Consider how many times enemies will swarm the Barbarian at the start of combat and get off a few free hits, wearing the class down before seeing the end of the dungeon.

By charging up this attack to initiate the combat, the Barbarian suddenly is dealing with mobs that have a fraction of the health, preventing them from getting off as many attacks as before. Gamers are hoping this item isn't nerfed while the development team is fixing the game's numerous issues.

4 The Maddening - PvP - Main Hand

Diablo Immortal Chained Spear Hitting A Large Group
  • Movement speed increased by 15% while Frenzy is at its maximum stacks.

After a measly five auto-attacks, Frenzy will be at maximum stacks. That's easy to do and players will have plenty of practice as the skill helps them level up quickly. But the attack speed is useful for more than just dungeons and solo play.

Against enemy players, Frenzy damage wears them down after just a few seconds. The Maddening adds 15% movement speed while at maximum stacks, enhancing what is already a substantial movement advantage for the Barbarian.

3 Eager Maelstrom - PvE - Main Hand

Diablo Immortal Barbarian Leveling Up On A Bridge
  • Whirlwind radius increased, but Whirlwind movement speed decreased.

In rifts, movement speed isn't the Barbarian's best facet. Mobs are already going to be grouped around it, so there isn't really any catching up or chasing down to do. Sacrifice some speed for more damage to see this character rise up the class tier chart.

The extra damage radius on Whirlwind from Eager Maelstrom will hit more of the mo at once, including those who have short-range attacks. Against the largest groups, when enemies can't get close due to the spacing, they'll be taking damage without being able to dish any out in return.

2 North Wind - PvP - Main Hand

Diablo Immortal Activating The Lacerate Ultimate
  • Whirlwind now also inflicts a stacking Chill.

A max-level Barbarian is a terrifying sight for opponents. If they aren't close to their allies, they can get picked off and tossed into danger. Most gamers are aware of this and stay just close enough to their allies to retreat to safety.

A Barbarian that gets tired of seeing these squishy foes escape should grab the North Wind. This isn't just any slow, it's a stacking Chill effect that can grind targets to a near halt, preventing them from escaping whatever tricks the Barbarian has planned.

1 Sellena's Iron - PvE - Main Hand

Diablo Immortal Hitting A Skeleton Away With The Lacerate Ultimate
  • Leap causes the ground to shake where you land, dealing damage to all enemies in the area over 3 seconds.

If enemy groups are dishing out too much damage (an inevitability at higher challenges), don't change the difficulty for fewer rewards. Instead, Find Sellena's Iron and use its power to devastate clusters of mobs. Toss a Hammer of the Ancients, then Leap into the fray.

Between these two moves, minions should be dead outright and the elites won't be far behind. Area damage over time is another arrow in an already stacked arsenal that expert players are all too happy to exploit.

Diablo Immortal is available now for mobile and PC.
