Blizzard has officially revealed that it will host two developer livestreams ahead of Diablo 4’s second season. Season of Blood will be released on October 17, and feature vampires as the main enemies, bringing more content and new challenges to players.

While it’s fair to say that Diablo 4 had a very successful release, its path so far has been controversial. After a positive launch, Diablo 4’s Season of the Malignant was criticized due to nerfs to certain builds while not offering much more new content. Back on September 15, however, Diablo 4’s boss Rod Ferguson was already hinting at the next season, claiming that Season of Blood would get two deep dive streams, which would be necessary to explain in depth just how much content the new season would bring.

Blizzard has now officially announced the date of the developer livestreams that will give players more information about Diablo 4’s upcoming Season of Blood. The first one will happen on October 4 at 11 a.m. PDT. According to the developer’s blog post, the first livestream will shed some light on many quality-of-life updates that will be around for Season 2, such as more Stash space or improvements to how Dungeons and Mounts work. Also, after the main event, players will get the opportunity to ask questions directly to the developers. Six days later, on October 10, another stream will be launched, this time focusing on how the class balance will be changed in the new season.

At the moment, it’s already known that Diablo 4's Season 2 will bring a new Vampire Hunter companion called Erys and a new questline that will be set after Lilith’s defeat and will be focused on a vampire lord that will attack Sanctuary. Season of Blood will also come with 5 new and returning endgame bosses, allowing gamers to try and find some of the rarest items in the game by defeating them.

It will be interesting to see what Blizzard has in store for Season of Blood, as gamers are expecting more content to keep playing. One gamer, for instance, was already able to reach max level in all classes during Diablo 4’s Season 1. While most gamers have not played nearly so much, giving the title more content is essential to keep Diablo 4 as a live service, and hopefully, these two streams will show more of that.
