Blizzard is making it easier for players to reach level 100 in Diablo 4 with the upcoming Season 2 update. This was announced during the recently concluded Diablo 4 developer livestream, which also revealed details about the game’s upcoming updates and the season’s story.

Diablo 4’s launch was a massive success for Blizzard as it became the fastest-selling game in the developer’s history. However, things went downhill as soon as the Season 1 update launched. This was mostly because of a plethora of controversial changes made to the game, which caused an uproar in the community. To rectify it, Blizzard also hosted an emergency Campfire Chat for Diablo 4 merely 24 hours after the patch went live and announced that a lot of the updates would be tweaked. While that managed to get Blizzard some brownie points, players also complained about the reduced level scaling in the game, which made the grind to get to level 100 more tedious. However, with Season 2, it is looking to rectify this and make it easier for fans to level up their characters.

Diablo 4 players desperately want this class to be added to the game, as it would give greater gameplay variety while keeping the game context.

In the recent developer livestream, Blizzard introduced Diablo 4 Season of Blood and detailed some big changes arriving to the game. One of the most notable ones was the increased experience gains from killing monsters above level 50, which will steadily increase as the player’s character levels up as well. Eventually, this will help players reach the cap of level 100 around 40% faster than before, which is a change the community has appreciated. Additionally, Incenses in the game will now grant players bonus experience, and their effects will also last after the player’s character dies.

Aside from this, the livestream also revealed the story of Diablo 4 Season of Blood, where players will rally together to stop the vampiric Dark Master, with the help of a vampire hunter named Erys. Players will also have access to new Vampiric Powers which can be used by obtaining Pact Armor. Furthermore, the game is also getting 5 new endgame bosses with Season 2, where players can farm specific Uniques and Uber Uniques by defeating them.

In addition to the increased experience gains, Blizzard is also adding Gems to the materials tab, which will free up a significant amount of inventory space for players. It is also seemingly adding a World Boss timer in Diablo 4, which could be revealed at another livestream scheduled for October 10.

Diablo 4 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
