A gamer recently found a rare event in Diablo 4, encountering a Level 1 Butcher right at the start of the game. Beating the Butcher in Diablo 4 is a hard task, and when someone is in the early game, they’re even less prepared for such a hard fight.
The Butcher is one of the most iconic enemies in the Diablo series. Ever since his appearance in the first game of the franchise, gamers have been terrified of him, and this did not change in the latest installment of Blizzard’s famous dungeon crawler. According to official data from Blizzard, 1.6% of all Diablo 4 deaths were caused by the Butcher. In this title, he appears randomly and can be around the corner at literally any moment, being one of the most dreaded bosses in the entire game, as he combines surprise and powerful stats in one fight.
A Diablo 4 player called Darksnipsy recently found quite an unusual occurrence: a Level 1 Butcher. According to the gamer, who shared this strange event on Reddit, the result of the difficult fight was kind of disappointing, as they managed to kill the rare boss, only to discover that they dropped a Level 1 white off-hand weapon. They only managed to do it because this was not their first character, so despite being on Level 2, they already had full renown and did all the Lilith statues. This was enough to garner higher damage and a few skill points that were game-changers at such a low level.
In the comments of the post, some gamers shared other curious stories with the Butcher that show how random encountering him can be. For instance, Holysnowva recently started a Sorcerer and was unlucky enough to find the Butcher three out of four times in the first dungeons of the game, they claimed. Another player called Fallout71 had the opposite issue. They found him only once at Level 15 and ran away, then were never able to encounter the enemy, which is one of the hardest bosses in Diablo 4, ever again.
Encountering the dreadful Butcher is normally a fairly violent event that ends in gruesome death. However, a few weeks ago, one gamer was able to find something even rarer than a Level 1 Butcher: a pacifist Butcher. In a hilarious video shared by a Diablo 4 player, it’s possible to see the otherwise menacing boss running from the player while continuously attacked, something that probably happened due to a bug.
