Diablo 4 just revealed how players can unlock mounts in the upcoming action RPG. Once done, players who earn this travel option will reap the benefits for all their other Diablo 4 characters.

Blizzard recently shared a sizable Diablo 4 developer blog titled Play Your Way. The post held tons of information about the highly-anticipated game, including details on character builds and customization, gear, and the minimum system requirements for Diablo 4 on PC.

Amidst new information was a short section detailing mounts in Diablo 4. Players unlock the ability to use mounts after completing the main quest associated with it, with one character. Afterward, they will unlock the ability to use Diablo 4's mounts on all of their characters, in any game mode, from then on regardless of level.

During the record-breaking Diablo 4 beta, players noticed text at the Stable that said mounts would be unlocked by progressing the campaign and completing a quest called Mount: Donan’s Favor. This will probably be a simple quest player unlock once they hit a certain story point, but ultimately, once Diablo 4 enters Early Access on June 1, the fine details will become clear.

Once players earn this feature in Diablo 4, they can further customize their ride with different types of mounts, as well as special armor and trophies to adorn their steed’s flank or saddle with. According to the Play Your Way blog, Diablo 4 will have dozens of trophies players can earn across the game. One such trophy, the Cry of Ashava, can be earned during Diablo 4’s upcoming Server Slam if players reach level 20 and defeat the eponymous world boss at least one time. What the others look like remains to be seen, but it's something many fans will no doubt enjoy unlocking.

Unlocking mounts this way is certainly beneficial for fans of the ARPG franchise. The open world of Diablo 4 is massive, and traversing it on foot would be slow-going without a mount, even with the use of waypoints. Diablo 4 also showcased mounts as a major feature in the game, and it's clear just how important they are.

Diablo 4 launches June 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
