Barbarian players in Diablo 4 have another tool in their arsenal when it comes to ignoring damage, as one player discovered that Ground Stomp creates a zone of safety against area of effect abilities cast by bosses. Though Diablo 4 broke several Blizzard records in the wake of its launch, the game has struggled to maintain its initial popularity due to the mixed reception of its seasonal content.

Whereas Diablo 4's Season of Blood was viewed positively, with many players heralding it as the course-correction that Diablo 4 needed, Season of the Construct has had its fair share of controversies already, such as its Gauntlet feature being delayed. While Season of Blood attempted to expand the endgame of Diablo 4, a significant number of fans have begun to express fatigue over Uber Duriel runs in Season of the Construct, further exacerbated by having to wait until the next Season for the highly-anticipated itemization overhaul.

Diablo 4 Delays New Season 3 Features

Diablo 4 announces the postponement of some expected Season 3 features, gives input on what happened, and what's next.

However, Diablo 4 still has a tight-knit community of players that regularly engage with its content, and OMDtesseract happens to be one of them. As a Barbarian player, OMDtesseract is no stranger to being a resilient killing machine. However, they managed to discover a rather unique aspect of Ground Stomp that can further increase the survival capabilities of Diablo 4's toughest class. Namely, Ground Stomp creates an earthquake that stuns enemies for 4 seconds, but this earthquake also doubles as a zone of safety that protects players against certain boss abilities.

As seen in the video shared by OMDtesseract, their Barbarian character appears to suffer no damage from Elias while standing within the earthquake generated by Ground Stomp. Given that this is an undocumented aspect of Ground Stomp, OMDtesseract agreed that further testing was required. If more Diablo 4 bosses other than Elias prove to be powerless against the protection offered by Ground Stomp, it could significantly change the way Barbarian players approach endgame combat.
