The development team of Blizzard's latest title, Diablo 4, recently shared that it has heard the call of the fans to add separate storage space for the variety of gems found in the game. Minor details of this new feature and other upcoming Diablo 4 updates were the subject of the first of a series of campfire chats that the team is planning to regularly stream online.

Given that Diablo 4 just released early this June 2023, it is not surprising for the action-RPG to still be experiencing a player base high from its launch. Many in the gaming community have been challenging themselves by reaching the max level as soon as possible and building the most effective or powerful builds in Diablo 4 for their chosen class. Though the launch did face challenges with login and server issues, Blizzard has been on its toes in delivering constant hot fixes and content updates that will definitely keep the fan base active and engaged in the video game.

In the first Diablo 4 Campfire Chat hosted by several members of the game's team, it was revealed that the fans' call for a separate space to store gems has already been heard. According to Game Director Joe Shely, the team is hoping to implement changes in how players acquire and put away gems in the game. Instead of taking up space in a character's bag where equipment is normally found after being picked up, gems will automatically be placed in the crafting materials inventory. This means that players will have more space in their bag for actual gear and will also lessen the need for them to teleport out of dungeons to their chests in town.

Unfortunately, players will have to wait a bit longer to see the separate storage for gems in Diablo 4 as the feature will only be made available starting Season 2. With Season 1 only starting mid-July 2023, fans will have to wait patiently until Blizzard reveals the exact timeline of when all these new features will be implemented. Fortunately, it seems the team is hoping to be consistent with the Diablo 4 Campfire Chat which will probably address all issues and topics that the game's community is currently concerned about.

With a big patch for the action-RPG coming soon, players still have a lot of content to look forward to. Hopefully these changes will tide the community over until the team is able to add in bigger features like separating the storage space for gems in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
