Diablo 4 has revealed some information about its endgame content. Players who complete the Diablo 4 main story will get plenty of stuff to do afterward if they’re seeking the best gear and greater challenges.

The newest game of the Diablo franchise is not even out yet, but it’s already very successful. The two beta testing periods that happened in March had a huge player interest. According to the developers, it was the largest beta in the Diablo franchise, with almost 62 million hours played, and over three million gamers playing enough to reach Level 20 with at least one class.

Now, the Diablo 4 developers explain more details about the endgame content ahead of the game's launch in June. After the main campaign, players will be able to seek out better loot by completing Capstone Dungeons, which will increase the World Tier, thus elevating the difficulty of the game, and also the rewards for exploring. This is not the only way gamers will be able to upgrade the strength of their characters, though. After they reach the max level, they can also engage in the Paragon System, refining their build beyond their original Skill Tree as they see fit. Another option is trying to find special Aspects hidden in dungeons, which allow them to turn old items into legendary items.

Diablo 4 players will also get the chance to seek out new experiences in previous dungeons in the Nightmare Dungeon mode, which is activated using Nightmare Sigils. When using these sigils, they will get additional objectives and more challenges in the dungeons. Another opportunity for new challenges is to try out bounties or defeat special monsters in Helltide areas, collecting shards to get caches with unique items.

Alternatively, gamers playing what Blizzard believes to be the best game in the Diablo franchise can try out the Fields of Hatred area, which will allow PvP combat. This way, they can face off against other Diablo 4 players while they try to purify shards to sell them later. The area includes a risk-reward mechanic, in which players will want to get cool loot, but may end up being murdered by other more powerful players.

Recently, the Diablo 4 developers have talked about how there are bizarre and exciting legendary powers for intrepid players to discover, and this newly revealed endgame content shows that only the peak of the iceberg was shown so far. So, it’s possible that most gamers will spend hundreds of hours playing the game, and Diablo 4 will become one of the most successful live-service games of the year.

Diablo 4 will be available June 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
