Early access for Blizzard's action-RPG Diablo 4 has just launched and players are already experiencing major problems when they try to connect to the game. Given that many fans purchased more expensive editions of Diablo 4 in order to play the game earlier than its launch date, Blizzard needs to act fast to resolve these connectivity issues to prevent the player base from being irate.

One of the most highly-anticipated launches this 2023, Diablo 4 is only a few days away from its official release. Diablo 4 has received good reviews so far, probably amplifying the excitement that the players have had since the announcement of the title. With early access now available for those who bought the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, the gaming community will likely see more feedback about the experience. And apparently, being able to log into the game seamlessly during the early access period is already posing a problem for the player base.

On Reddit, several threads have popped up showcasing reports of issues logging into Diablo 4's early access period. Though the login errors do not seem to be focused on any specific platform, many PlayStation 4 and 5 owners seem to be having the most problems getting into the game, specifically getting licensing errors on the consoles. Other Xbox users have reported the same licensing issues as well, while desktop owners report that their difficulties lie in logging into Battle.net, Diablo 4's client. As of writing, a Reddit mega thread has already been opened just to discuss login errors, bugs, and long queue times for Diablo 4.

Given players' anticipation of the action-RPG's early access period, many have already been trying to find fixes for the licensing errors they have been encountering. Others say that they need to download a free game to refresh the licenses then relaunch Diablo 4, while others are warning fellow players about purchasing downloadable content, even the newly launched Diablo 4 DLC, just to be able to log into the game. According to Battle.net, Blizzard is already aware of login issues and is working to fix them as soon as possible.

Since Diablo 4's early access period is only available for a short period of time, Blizzard needs to move fast to resolve the licensing errors and re-queuing issues. The Diablo 4 fan base has already paid good money to get into the game early and will likely be making complaints if they do not get their money's worth.

Diablo 4 launches on June 6, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
