What makes The Butcher in Diablo 4 so intense is the fact that he spawns at random. Most other bosses appear in designated locations in the game's various dungeons, but The Butcher can appear out of nowhere and wreak havoc. The Butcher fight in Diablo 4 is known to be fairly challenging, especially for unlucky players that are caught off-guard, but those having trouble fighting the demon now have a new strategy they can try to employ.
Reddit user mmmke discovered a way to cheese The Butcher boss fight in Diablo 4. It seems that if players manage to get The Butcher's health to half, he won't attack nearly as much and combining that with leading him around an object like an obelisk can effectively make him a non-threat. According to mmmke, The Butcher just starts standing still when players do this to him. Needless to say, this could make the fight against The Butcher significantly easier.
The Butcher is a fairly rare optional boss in Diablo 4, and so players will definitely want to defeat him whenever they get the chance. One can put serious hours into Diablo 4 and never see The Butcher at all, so it's disappointing whenever the encounter does happen and players fail to kill him. The Butcher's signature weapon, The Butcher's Cleaver, is a possible drop for those that manage to defeat him, and it can be equipped by any of Diablo 4's five classes.
With this trick in mind, Diablo 4 players who have struggled against The Butcher should find it much easier defeating the boss the next time they happen to come across him.
