Following the beta weekends for Diablo 4, Blizzard releases statistics about the game including the staggering number of deaths players suffered at the hands of the world boss Ashava. Although the Diablo 4 beta suffered through some initial issues, the overall reception seemed to be positive overall. In fact, Blizzard seemed pleased with how things went, discovering issues, issuing six hotfixes during the first weekend, and ultimately using the data to make adjustments ahead of the June launch. For players, both beta weekends represented an opportunity to check out the game, including all of its newer features and live service elements. The Diablo 4 Open Beta also added the Druid and Necromancer classes to the roster, while giving players a taste of Act 1. Once wrapping up the story missions, players could fight alongside others in the open world, taking on events, exploring dungeons, and much more. There was also a World Boss to battle, and it seems like most who tried ultimately fell at the hands of Ashava.RELATED: Blizzard Confirms Diablo 4 Launch Won't Suffer Same Beta Connection IssuesOne of the newest additions to Diablo 4 is the idea of an open and shared world experience with no loading screens. Each region can be completed in any order, with enemies scaling to the player's level to keep things fair. During traversal, players can even come across world events, which the beta headlined with a boss named Ashava. According to Blizzard, most players tried their hand at the battle, though the dragon racked up a massive kill count, finishing with 10,163,397 player deaths.

Shockingly, Ashava was only killed 107,426 times which means the boss had 100 times the kills to deaths. It's unknown if this was intended to be difficult, with the added caveat that players could only get to level 25 anyway, so the full game may make things slightly easier once characters are fully kitted out. In addition, two Diablo 4 players claimed to have soloed Ashava, but the official Blizzard stats seem to counter that argument.

In addition to the Ashava stat, Blizzard also revealed the most popular classes during the Diablo 4 beta. Considering spellcasting characters were seen as the strongest classes to play during the beta, the Socerer and Necromancer classes were at the top of the list, with the other three classes bringing up the rear. Blizzard didn't clarify the order fully, though with the Druid and Barbarian feeling a bit underpowered, it's fair to assume those two were towards the bottom.

Diablo 4 releases June 6 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
