Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat pre-registrations are now open. First released in China back in 2021, it looks like Capcom and NebulaJoy will be opening up the game to other parts of the world. The last major entry for the franchise was in 2019 when Devil May Cry 5 came out to positive reviews. While Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is not technically new, its exclusivity in parts of the world meant that some areas in the global market have yet to try out what this experience entails.

It's been said that Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is a mix of several different mainline Devil May Cry games adapted for a mobile gaming experience. Featuring familiar playable characters such as Dante, Nero, Vergil, and Lady, the title looks to be a modern marvel considering its life as a portable phone game. With Devil May Cry 5 continuing to sell very well, Peak of Combat's announcement timing just might be right to give fans of the franchise a new experience while the momentum is still high.

In a new trailer released by the Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat account on YouTube, it was announced that pre-registrations for the title are now open. Those who decide to pre-register will automatically be entered for a chance to participate in the upcoming closed beta of the game. Regardless of whether a user is picked or not, they will still be able to earn rewards once the open beta launches as well.

With no news of Devil May Cry 6 on the horizon yet, fans looking for a different experience could definitely try this one out. While it's safe to assume that the experience will be watered down compared to its mainline console brethren, the ability to play a variation of Devil May Cry on a phone seems like an enticing offer. With a different setting as well, Peak of Combat will still feel fresh because the context of the game is different too.

There have been a number of Devil May Cry games and the series has fared fairly well considering it debuted back in 2001. While a lot of titles with similar gameplay exist, being able to play with familiar characters will make users feel nostalgic. After all, there's no better experience than playing with the original, so those who've grown to love Devil May Cry over the years may be able to appease their hunger for a new title. Hopefully, Capcom divulges more information in the coming days so users don't feel too left out of the dark about what the beta will include in the future.

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is currently in development for mobile devices.
