Currently, Destiny 2 players are busy with finishing up with the season, but given everything to do in Season of the Undying before it ends, that's no simple feat. Getting the Undying title, completing Iron Banner armor quests, rounding off seasonal ranks, unlocking the ritual weapons, and getting all the Vex Offensive weapons are just a few of the things players need to finish up, but everyone needs to take a break. This is likely where the new D2 official cookbook comes in.

Written by Victoria Rosenthal but told from the perspective of Eva Levante, this new cookbook takes inspiration from Warlocks, Titans, Hunters, planets, locations, and all things Destiny 2. Lore-wise, this cookbook tells of Levante's travels after the Red War, where she met various Guardians and compiled this cookbook complete with step-by-step instructions and photos. Interested parties can check out this Destiny cookbook out on Amazon.

Notably, there's not much more known about this cookbook than that. It's currently up for pre-order until it releases on August 4, 2020, and priced at $35, and it 192-paged hardcover text. While some pages may be covered with images and illustrations of the food being prepared, that's still quite a few recipes filling this Destiny cookbook. The cover does hint at a few items, however, such as buttermilk biscuits, hush puppies, fritters, onion slaw, and fried chicken.

What'll be interesting to see is if there are any serious lore implications found within the text, which could prove to be the real treat for Destiny 2 fans. Likewise, this was the case for the Overwatch cookbook and may be something that fans expect of such a supplement, even if it's the slightest bit of lore. Regardless, that's still some time off, meaning it's unlikely to have anything to do with the current on-goings of the game.

It's been a busy season for the game, from in-game activities like the Final Assault to major Destiny streamer KingGothalion making the jump to Mixer, but with season 9 right around the corner, it stands to reason that it is just starting.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
