Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Experience has been a hot topic in the community this weekend as Bungie confirmed that the game has a gain issue. After reports and observing the data, Bungie has confirmed that the XP gain rate in Destiny 2 is much slower than it should be and while there isn't a fix just yet, the studio is countering the issue by raising the Weekly Rest bonus by an extra 150XP.

In addition to the XP problem, Warlocks have continued to face an issue gaining reputation with specific factions. A bug currently slows the rate at which Warlock players earn reputation in Destiny 2, while not impacting Hunters of Titans at all. Thankfully, Bungie is aware of the problem as the bug has been identified in the official known issues page, though a dedicated solution doesn't appear to be on the horizon. .

Since the Bazaar area is between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the little Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Exotic Perks:

  • Ascending Amplitude - Each target you defeat with Stormtrance increases the damage you deal with it and refunds Super energy when Stormtrance ends.

Unfortunately, the biggest thing working against this exotic is that the roll isn't great. The overall value is extremely low, and it has a higher than needed mobility. It's a good buy to knock out collections, but ultimately there are better options for the Strange Coins.

Liar's Handshake - Hunter gauntlets

Exotic Perk:

  • Cross Counter - Using your Arc melee ability or being hit by a melee attack will allow you to follow up with an extremely powerful melee counterpunch that will heal you.

Many people view this exotic as being highly important for making a high-damage Prismatic build work, though it's a really solid exotic regardless. This week, it is worth a purchase.

Exotic Perk:

  • Seriously, Watch Out - Grants an overshield when you're sprinting at full health with Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash equipped and charged. Hits with these abilities recharge a portion of your melee energy.

Unfortunately, this Titan gear has a very high mobility stat, which makes it very difficult to recommend.

Wavesplitter

  • Harmonic Laser - Laser damage has three power levels that oscillate while the trigger is held down.
  • Supercharged Battery - Collecting an Orb of Power grants a period of maximum power that starts with an automatic reload. Sustained fire in this mode suppresses targets.
