Destiny 2's The Witch Queen expansion has been in the works for a long time, but it is finally launching worldwide on February 22. Fans of the game can expect it to be one of the biggest launches in the history of the franchise, especially considering that The Witch Queen already sold over 1 million copies through pre-orders . Thus, logging into the game at the right time can be key when it comes to Destiny 2's usually very long waiting queue times.

Destiny 2's 4.0.0.1 update will then become available across all platforms and regions simultaneously, and players will be able to access both The Witch Queen expansion and the content coming in the form of Season of the Risen. The two seem to be very intertwined, as players will ask for help from the Cabal empress Caiatl, who will provide them with Light-suppressing technology to defeat Savathun's Lucent Brood.

As a reminder, players will get the opportunity to experience The Witch Queen's new campaign in Normal or Legendary difficulty, with the latter being more like a Dungeon in terms of how challenging it is, according to Bungie. Completing the Legendary campaign will also provide a significant Power Level boost.

Furthermore, Destiny 2 players will also see a drastic change in their Power Level and Power Level requirements for specific activities, with 1350 being the floor level for everyone. Power Level will be soft-capped at 1500, and Pinnacle gear will help increase it further up to 1560.

Lastly, it's worth mentioning that Destiny 2's new Raid for The Witch Queen will be released at a later date - on March 5, to be exact.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
