Bungie confirms that Destiny 2 is getting weekly quests through Mara Sov, offering players a chance to earn special gear like exotics, raid weapons, and more. Another week of revelations has arrived for fans of Destiny 2, following along the confirmation last week that Bungie is finally introducing a way for players to finally modify the cosmetic looks of their Guardian. Allowing players to change the body type, face, hair, or markings of their character has been a long-standing request from the Destiny 2 community, one that is finally being granted.

Considering that the current Season of the Wish has been extended longer than many anticipated following the unfortunate delay to The Final Shape expansion for Destiny 2, Bungie has been fairly vocal about how it intends to keep players engaged over the next five months. Part of the plan involves the usual seasonal events like Guardian Games and Moments of Triumph, though fans can also expect tweaks to the Crucible sometime in May through a new map pack, as well as content that Bungie is calling Into The Light. However, fans have been curious about a new weekly quest feature that has been called Wishes.

A newly discovered Destiny 2 bug accidentally brings back one unpopular activity modifier that Bungie just removed in a recent update.

Thankfully, the weekly blog post from Bungie finally revealed the upcoming content known as Wishes. Beginning next week on January 30, Destiny 2 players can accept a weekly quest from Mara Sov, typically involving completing a difficult activity or objective in The Dreaming City such as a Legend Lost Sector or a dungeon like The Shattered Throne. For those successful, Mara will hand over an item called a Wish Token that can be used to choose a prize from one of three different categories. Bungie confirms that Riven's Wishes will offer new quests over a six-week span of time, but players will be able to complete and earn rewards through The Final Shape's launch.

This season also brought with it a new Destiny 2 collaboration with CD Projekt RED's The Witcher. While it added new cosmetic gear like armor sets and emotes, it seems Bungie had additional plans for the crossover as it also announced a new cooperative community event. Envoking the spirit of the monster hunting swordsman Geralt, Destiny 2 players are tasked with taking down 7,777,777 enemies with Swords. Accomplishing this global task will award everyone with the Adventurous Spirit emblem.
