Ubisoft and Bungie announced a new collaboration for Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Destiny 2, bringing new cosmetics to each game. Collaborations are seemingly becoming a bigger piece of the live service element to Destiny 2 and its in-game Eververse Store. Earlier this year, after Bungie announced Destiny 2 was heading to Epic Games Store, the studio also revealed some new collaborations for in-game items as well.

First up was a crossover event with Fortnite, the massively popular battle royale title that is no stranger to collaborations with all sorts of other franchises from Marvel to Disney, Star Wars, Halo, and everything in between. Destiny 2 featured three new cosmetic armor sets while Fornite featured characters like Zavala, Ikora, and The Stranger into its world. Following up on that was Fall Guys, which added bean versions of the Titan, Warlock, and Hunter subclasses.

In a surprising announcement, Ubisoft and Bungie revealed a new collaboration between Destiny 2 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. These two live service games are getting new content based on each other, with Valhalla getting cosmetics armor based on Lord Shaxx and Saint-14. In addition, each one is holding a unique sword, indicating weapon cosmetics as well as different designs for a ridable wolf as well as a raven skin.

On the other side, Destiny 2 will be getting armor for each class inspired by Assassin's Creed. The Warlock is getting gear that resembles a futuristic version of Altair's iconic white robes, while Titans outfit appears to be inspired by a futuristic viking, while Hunters, the hardest to see clearly, appear to possibly by wearing a Spartan style helmet clearly inspired by Assassin's Creed Odyssey. The key art image also reveals cosmetic designs for a Sparrow, ship, and Ghost skin that turns the little guy into a talking Piece of Eden. According to Bungie's Tweet, these items will be available on December 6, though it doesn't offer a price for them.

As exciting as this reveal may be to many, December 6 has been circled on most Destiny 2 fan calendars for quite some time as this is also the start date for Season 19. While Bungie has discussed some changes and updates coming to the sandbox, the narrative elements around this upcoming season continue to be a mystery. Answers should be coming soon, but it hasn't stopped fans from theorizing that Season 19 could reintroduce Rasputin and Ana Bray, though a recent Tweet from the Destiny 2 account hints Xivu Arath could once again be making a return as well.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
