  • Bungie has announced a crossover between Destiny 2 and The Witcher, with new cosmetics inspired by Geralt of Rivia being added to the game.
  • The cosmetics will debut with Season 23, AKA the Season of the Wish, which kicks off on November 28.

Bungie announced a Destiny 2 crossover with The Witcher franchise that's set to debut with the start of Season 23. The recently unveiled Destiny 2 Season of the Wish begins on November 28.

Bungie is no stranger to brand collaborations, having engaged in half a dozen Destiny 2 crossovers in the last 12 months alone. Most of those promos were one-sided affairs that only added unique content to the company's looter shooter. The only actual content exchange happened in late 2022 as part of the Destiny 2 crossover with Assassin's Creed, which also saw Assassin's Creed Valhalla receive some Guardian-inspired armor sets.

Destiny 2 Players Question Its Game Awards 2023 Nomination

A vocal subset of the Destiny 2 fandom takes to social media to question the looter shooter's newly announced The Game Awards 2023 nomination.

This newly announced collaboration appears to be another one-way promo, even though CD Projekt Red is still technically updating its latest The Witcher game. Be that as it may, it seems that only Destiny 2 will receive content as part of this partnership, with Bungie revealing that the collaboration will introduce a variety of cosmetics inspired by Geralt of Rivia: an emote, finisher, Ghost shell, ship, Sparrow, and armor ornaments.

The newly confirmed cosmetics will all be added to the game as part of its Season of the Wish update. Bungie hasn't said anything about how the items will be procured, so it remains to be seen whether the crossover content arrives in the form of random drops, fixed rewards, or both. The only thing that's certain is that The Witcher cosmetics will be tied to Season 23 activities. The game's season pass is currently priced at 1,200 silver, which equates to $12.

The timing of this crossover announcement coincides with the recent start of a large-scale Destiny 2 Black Friday 2023 sale that saw Bungie treat a wide variety of the game's content to some massive discounts reaching up to 67%. All of those deals will be available until November 28. In the meantime, November 24 will also mark the start of the Bungie Store Black Friday sale that will see some retired Bungie Rewards make a return in limited quantities. The Bungie Store sale will also introduce a flat $7 shipping fee for all US, EU, and UK orders instead of calculating shipping costs by distance.
