  • Bungie is not rushing to fix a bug in Destiny 2 that allows players to use Sparrows in the Multiplex map, as the community is enjoying the chaos.
  • The bug is not intentional and may disrupt the competitive playlist, but it won't affect the Trials of Osiris mode for now.

Bungie isn’t rushing to fix a Destiny 2 bug that is allowing players to use their Sparrows in a Crucible map because the community is having fun with it. This is possible on the new Multiplex map that launched with Destiny 2 Season 22.

Destiny 2 has had a history of weird bugs and glitches, and while some of them have proven to be game-breaking, a few of them have also been enjoyed by the players. Bungie usually rushes to fix any such bug that disrupts gameplay, however, there have been a few rare instances where it has allowed the players to revel in chaos caused by such exploits. For instance, a bug back in 2021 allowed 12-person raids as opposed to the standard 6-player Fireteam, which Bungie was in no rush to fix as it seemingly breathed new life in Destiny 2’s PvE community. Now, it is taking a similar approach with the latest bug in a Destiny 2 PvP map which the community is having fun exploiting.

In a post of Twitter, the official Destiny 2 Team account addressed the bug where players can reportedly take out their Sparrows in the new Vex map called Multiplex. The post mentioned that this wasn’t an intentional addition, but since the “PvP folks are enjoying the chaos, so we'll be leaving this bug in for a little longer.” Several players hailed Bungie’s decision to do so and also suggested that the team should add a permanent mode that allows the use of Sparrows in PvP.

One issue players could face with this bug is in Destiny 2’s competitive playlist, where if the Multiplex map is on, it could disrupt the overall experience of the mode. However, there won’t be any such issue in Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2 considering Multiplex is still a very new map to be in the rotation and owing to this bug, it won’t be a part of the Trials playlist anytime soon. However, players can still exploit this bug in the Iron Banner mode, which is currently active in the game.

Aside from this, Bungie has hinted towards some big changes arriving with Destiny 2 The Final Shape DLC. One of the most notable ones is the possible nerf to the Well of Radiance Warlock Super ability, which game director, Joe Blackburn, has already hinted towards.

Destiny 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
