Destiny 2's The Witch Queen is almost here, and with the overwhelming hype surrounding this major release, players are concerned about how long the queue to log into the game will be, as well as possible issues arising on launch. Among Destiny 2's known issues for The Witch Queen there is a bug with the Overload mod for auto rifles and SMGs, making it impossible to prevent Overload Champions from regenerating their health while stunned, which is quite disruptive for the gameplay flow. As such, players should keep an eye on Bungie Help to learn more about the timeline for fixing this issue and check for more on launch.

In the meantime, Bungie revealed more of what Season of the Risen entails with a new trailer, which shows Destiny 2 Guardians fighting alongside Cabal allies against the powerful Hive Lightbearers of Savathun's army. In fact, the premise for Season of the Risen is that Zavala is gravely concerned by how threatening it is to have the Lucent Brood deplete Vanguard forces, and he seeks aid from Caiatl, who is willing to send her Cabal soldiers and Psions to stop the enemy.

Destiny 2's Year 4 was all about the redemption of old enemies, from Crow to the Cabal and the Eliksni, and Season of the Risen is the first-ever to feature allied aliens on the battlefield alongside Guardians. The trailer shows Cabal drop pods launching on the field to aid Guardians, likely with in-game mechanics that will be needed to defeat some of the more powerful Hive Lightbearers. Furthermore, Caiatl's Psions are going to play a big role in locking down weakened Lucent Brood and sending Guardians into the new seasonal activity, Mindscape.

From the first looks of it, Mindscape seems like an activity that takes place in Savathun's Throne World - or maybe a simulation of it - where Destiny 2 players can wield the seasonal artifact to defeat enemies. While not many details have been shared about Mindscape, the trailer did reveal Season of the Risen's duration, which is going to run from February 22 to May 24.

The update that the Bungie Store underwent yesterday also revealed new Destiny 2 titles and Seals for The Witch Queen and Season 16, which players will be able to obtain in-game starting today. The title for Season 16 is particularly interesting because it's "Risen," which is what Hive Lightbearers are called.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen releases on February 22 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
