Week 8 of Season 18 in Destiny 2 is here, and with it the conclusion of the Sails of the Shipstealer quest. There have been some surprise twists here and there as the story progressed, but unfortunately the finale for the quest doesn't provide as much story development as previous weeks. It is certainly possible that there will be some form of epilogue before the start of Season 19 since the Relics of Nezarec remain unaddressed, but Bungie has not provided any confirmation of that. This guide will show players how to complete the final set of steps in Sails of the Shipstealer and see how this quest in Destiny 2 concludes.

Go To The H.E.L.M.

As ever, the first step is to go to the H.E.L.M. and use the Star Chart. There, Destiny 2 players will get a message from Mithrax. After he discusses how the next Relic of Nezarec is the last one along with his concerns on why Eramis was messaging Eido, the quest will update to the next step once he is finished talking.

Loot Some Buried Treasure and Celebrate

If Destiny 2 players don't have one already, they will need to restore a map using the Captain's Atlas. Once a map has been restored, players will need to complete an Expedition and loot the Buried Treasure at the end. The second step for this week is a unique one as it requires players to emote with their crew three times at the end of the mission. Any emote that players have will work for this step, even the default ones that they get at the start of the game.

While the quest text doesn't mention it, bonus progress is awarded if multiple players emote at the same time. As such, it is entirely possible to complete this objective in a single Expedition or Ketchcrash activity. If not, it only takes three completions of these activities to complete this objective as long as players remember to emote with their crew.

Complete Pirate Hideout: The Lucent Brood

Once both objectives have been completed, Destiny 2 players will get the next step which is to complete the final Pirate Hideout where the relic is located. Rather than dealing with another Pirate Lord, players will instead face off against the Lucent Hive in an attempt to secure the relic and save Eido. As far as Pirate Hideouts go, this last one doesn't have much that players need to watch out for. There are lots of adds (additional enemies) that spawn as players fight the boss, including Cursed Thralls.

As long as players keep their distance and take out the Hive Ghost after killing the boss, they will have no trouble completing this Pirate Hideout. After opening the door at the end, a cutscene will play and players will get to see the final confrontation between Mithrax and Eramis. Eido manages to prevent them from killing each other and Eramis takes the opportunity to escape and avoid being captured, even though she leaves empty-handed.

Use the Holoprojector

Once the cutscene ends, Destiny 2 players will need to go to the Eliksni Quarter and use the Holoprojector outside the Ether Tank. There, they will get a message from Drifter as he congratulates them for succesfully getting all the Relics of Nezarec and stopping whatever the Witness planned to do with them. After that, the final step is to get one Engram from Spider. Though this may not be the end of the story just yet, as Season 18 doesn't end until December 6th. Only time will tell what will become of the Relics of Nezarec that players have gathered.

Destiny 2 is now available for Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
