There are plenty of great moments in the latest Destiny 2 expansion, Beyond Light, but one certainly stands out as a different direction for the series. During one questline, Ghost tests out his acting chops and the result is hilarious. Come to find out, there is a deeper story here. This particular Destiny 2 mission had to be changed due to COVID making it difficult to bring in one of the voice actors. Slight spoilers ahead for the Salvation's Grip exotic quest.

At the end of the Stealing Stasis mission, players are tasked with nabbing a Stasis Prototype after Drifter suggests they take it. Drifter himself doesn't make an appearance for the final quest to obtain the Salvation's Grip exotic and instead asks Ghost to takeover. Now, this may seem odd, as to keep him there in spirit, Ghost does his best impression of the irreverent Drifter throughout the mission with varying degrees of success. The lines he spouts are often funny -- especially when he works in Drifter's signature "brother." And, while hilarious, it may have seemed odd as a result of COVID making this happen.

According to a post in the Destiny Reddit by u/gunmaster96, a verified Bungie developer, COVID-19 work from home orders was the real reason for the change. As the Drifter's voice actor was unavailable, one writer suggested that Ghost simply pretend to be Drifter and actor Nolan North stepped up to add the voice lines. Maybe it's for the best since it ended up adding such an original and comedic mission to Destiny 2, showing that even amidst the pandemic, some hilariously good things can still happen.

And the best part is that this is just one stepping stone on the fun of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, as the game is available now, and there's plenty to do. The next raid, Deep Stone Crypt, is releasing this weekend and players are scrambling to increase their Power Levels as fast as possible. Playlists and activities are a slow grind, so Guardians often look for something to expedite the process. With no dedicated loot cave, players are finding other means, and a new kill farming spot was recently discovered within the Schism mission. If players want to take advantage of it, they'll need to act fast, as Bungie has been quick to throw out patches.

Players could always just kill bosses for loot, and with a recent bug discovered, that is easier than ever. Due to a glitch with the Statis subclass, players are absolutely melting bosses in seconds. Many are comparing it to the Witherhoard bug from last season. It's so effective, some were concerned it might affect the release of Deep Stone Crypt. However, Bungie confirmed it will not delay the raid but is currently investigating fixes for the bug.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is now available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
