Bungie released Destiny 2 back in 2017 and the community continues to celebrate the FPS in various ways. One recent encounter between two fun-loving Destiny 2 players showed how many ways Guardians can have fun in the Bungie game.

Reddit user That-Skirt recently posted a video showing their Guardian interacting with another one known as Banana on the colorful planet Nessus. The video begins with That-Skirt, known in Destiny 2 as GentleRusher, performing the Magnificant "Crank That" Dance emote while Banana invited the Destiny 2 player to Airplane with their assistance. After accepting Banana's offer, That-Skirt was quickly hoisted into the air above Banana's head as they struck a flight pose for a moment.

Upon putting their feet back on the colorful ground of Destiny 2's Nessus, GentleRusher started looking around rapidly in celebration of the bonding experience with Banana. In response, Banana took a running jump before summoning their Sparrow and flying it into the void of the Nessus. Calling it majestic, GentleRusher stood and watched Banana rotate their Sparrow like an arrow wobbling through the sky. Unable to Sparrow fly themselves, GentleRusher could only watch Banana from the ground as the flying Guardian slowly became a distant object.

Sparrow Flying has been around since the original Destiny and it allows players to maintain upward momentum after spawning their Sparrow in mid-air. To accomplish the technique, Destiny 2 players need to have the Vernier Thrusters perk and the intrinsic Destabilizers Sparrow Mod. The Vernier Thrusters give a Destiny 2 Sparrow six boosts instead of the base four, while the Destabilizers allow Destiny 2 players to consistently roll their Sparrow in one direction.

That-Skirt's video ends with Banana still flying into the void of Nessus, but the Destiny 2 player went on to plummet back down before returning to Sparrow flying. Banana is known to several members of the Destiny 2 community, with one telling That-Skirt that the player is known for helping others Slipstream while Sparrow flying around the various planets in the game. With a name like Banana, the Guardian is actually quite easy to spot in Destiny 2 thanks to their full golden armor set that helps them resemble a banana Guardian.

According to a fellow Destiny 2 player and clanmate of Banana, Banana has been hoping to get recognition for their Sparrow flying for quite some time. Given how much grace Banana took to the Nessus skies with, it's clear that the Destiny 2 player has a lot of experience with the exploit. This funny moment between Banana and GentleRusher shows that the game means more to the community than raids, Strikes, and Destiny 2's Crucible PvP mode.

Destiny 2 is available right now for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
