A keen-eyed Destiny 2 player has discovered that the combatants present in Neomuna's Patrols are much harder to kill than the enemies encountered in Master difficulty Raids, raising concerns over the challenge curve that has slowly become a hot topic of conversation in the community. Since the launch of Lightfall, players have expressed their surprise over the difficulty of Neomuna's open-world activities, noting how reaching the Pinnacle Power Cap for Destiny 2's Season 20 doesn't reduce the lethality of enemies nor reduce the time-to-kill against said enemies. The conversation around the difficulty in Destiny 2 has been a longstanding one, with the developers and players rarely seeing eye-to-eye on the matter. During The Witch Queen era, Bungie decided to experiment with the challenge by introducing a Legendary version of the campaign, tweaking the various aspects of the missions such as fireteam-based scaling of enemy health, restrictive respawns, fixed light levels, and much more. The new difficulty was met with much positivity, prompting Bungie to release a Legendary version of Lightfall's campaign. The same cannot be said about the rest of Lightfall, as the decision to revamp the difficulty in Destiny 2 hasn't worked as per the expectations of the developers.RELATED: Destiny 2 Confirms More Lance Reddick Content in the FutureSince the launch of the expansion, players have accepted the difficulty spike in Neomuna, but the extent of the challenge curve was unclear to the community. Thanks to the efforts of MossyMax on Twitter, the details of the Power delta in every endgame activity in Destiny 2 are now available. The graph accompanying MossyMax's tweet shows several data points indicating the different Power Cap in endgame activity, with Master and Contest mode Raids being placed lower than Legendary Lost Sectors. Continuing from the original tweet, MossyMax details that Neomuna's Patrols and Lost Sectors share the same Power delta, therefore, are much more challenging than Master-tier activities.

In a much more descriptive Reddit post, MossyMax, who also goes by LegoWitch, provides further context to the numbers by testing the health of a Vex Goblin unit encountered with a specific weapon. In the tests, the gun uses 30% more bullets to kill a Goblin in Neomuna's Patrols than one in Master Vault of Glass. MossyMax further explains that Master activities having stronger variants of enemies and restricting players with a -20 Power Cap reduces player survivability and levels the playing field. While the data isn't official, this post is the confirmation many needed after Destiny 2's latest Contest Mode raid was conquered in record time.

There have been many criticisms regarding Destiny 2's newest Patrol space since Lightfall's launch, and to Bungie's credit, the developers have pushed out updates to fix some of the mechanical issues. It remains to be seen if the Master mode of the Root of Nightmares Raid will change this equation, which is set to arrive with the next Weekly reset.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
